The designer remained calm, saying that there was room for salvation.
Original house type
Built at the beginning of the 21st century, this old house has a series of typical features of old-fashioned architecture.
After sorting out the questions:
1. The living room and dining room are sandwiched between two large bedrooms, which is dim and narrow, and two door openings and a window hole destroy the overall sense of space.
2. Half-height windows and low floors make the overall lighting poor.
3. Most of the walls are load-bearing walls, and the transformation is restricted.
4. The entrance, kitchen and bathroom are small, the storage space is limited, and the comfort of use is poor.
5. The door of the master bedroom is directly facing the entrance, which is not very private.
Real scene before the renovation**
Although there are many problems, homeowners have made a number of demands:

Demolition and alteration of the wall

In order to meet the needs of homeowners, the designers made 5 main adjustments:
Renovation points:
1. The two walls at the entrance were demolished, and the storage area was reduced from 06 to 21, improved by 35 times;
2. The window openings and walls under the windows in the master bedroom were all removed and replaced with spacious double doors, which greatly improved the lighting of the reading area;
3. Cancel the window hole in the kitchen, pull the countertop between the kitchen and the living balcony, improve the space utilization, and build a new wall to make full use of both sides of the kitchen;
4. The toilet has been expanded, and the three separations have been realized, avoiding congestion during peak hours;
5. Adjusted the orientation of the elders' rooms, removed some windows, and introduced more light into the room.
Entrance hall
The first sight of the door
The combination of entrance cabinets that used to be the location of the master bedroom door has very poor privacy because the door opening is directly facing the entrance door. The designer removed the original door opening and the adjacent wall, and replaced it with a full-top cabinet to separate the master bedroom from the entrance.
The back of the cabinet is a structure of plasterboard and keel, which looks like an ordinary wall from the perspective of the master bedroom. Although this approach is slightly less soundproof, it also has a clear advantage: it ensures the depth of the entryway cabinet and the width of the aisle.
The white cabinet is mainly used to store clothes at the entrance door, because there are 2+2+1 members in the home, and there are many items in the house, if the entrance is not properly designed, it will obviously affect the life experience.
This set of 2-meter-long cabinets fully meets the storage needs of a family of five's clothes, bags and other items, and the capacity is very sufficient and very practical.
On the left is a set of groups with a depth of 0The 3-meter colonnade shoe cabinet is enough to store shoes commonly worn by the family, and the oversized mirror design expands the visual effect of the space. Behind the shoe cabinet is a refrigerator, which is separated from the kitchen.

The living room and dining room share the same space, and in the early stage of design, the designer and the owner decided to go to the TV and turn the living room into a multi-functional area integrating parent-child reading, communication, dining and office.
Two delicate Tiffany vintage chandeliers hang from each other, each handcrafted to be unique and beautiful.
Here, the owner's family paints and tells picture books and stories together, and spends time with the elderly, and the family is harmonious, and occasionally when it is necessary to work, it can be done at the dining table.
Living room
Fresh Reading Corner.
The reading corner in the living room is in the same vein as the dining room, with a dark green leather sofa and a wooden coffee table, as if you are in a fresh and pleasant green meadow.
The storage cabinet at the rear is perfectly adapted to the needs of the owner, with open compartments for accessible books and closed cabinets to hide miscellaneous items. The rattan basket at the bottom provides an ideal storage place for children's toys, and the height is more conducive to cultivating children's tidying habits. The overall design is light and natural, and blends perfectly with the storage cabinet.
*The air conditioner is strategically placed above the storage cabinet and does not affect the overall height of the living room. A recessed light strip under the ceiling ensures plenty of soft light in the reading corner.
Next to the reading area in the living room is the double door in the master bedroom, an arched wrought-iron door converted from a window opening with water corrugated glass embedded in it, which is both beautiful and private.

In order to save space, the dry area is not equipped with a door leaf, but is decorated with black arched wrought iron door frame and water ripple glass. The all-round three-dimensional storage design makes it easy to organize all kinds of items and keep the bathroom tidy.
The door frame is complemented by a combination of half-walls and open lattices, and the water-rippled glass backpanel filters out the visual distraction of clutter on the open lattice.

The shower and toilet are divided into double diamond-shaped frosted tempered glass with a frosted membrane for privacy. The wall-hung toilet in the toilet is easier to clean, and the clever combination of wall tiles is beautiful and differentiating.
Bright and vibrant bedrooms
