Hu Shu'e has been engaged in steel materials research for a long time, and at the 2023 National People's Congress and the National People's Congress, she made suggestions for the green transformation of steel production, which were adopted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau said that in the early stage of the development of steel structure buildings, the cost is indeed relatively high due to the problems of market raw materials and supporting processes, but it can be tried to be solved through comprehensive consideration of policies, industries, talents, technologies and other aspects.
Hu Shu'e said that steel structure building is an important means to achieve new industrialization and high-quality development of the construction industry, but at present, the proportion of domestic steel structure buildings is relatively low, and there are problems such as high cost and poor support.
