In 1980, Han Xianchu left the Lanzhou Military Region, where he had worked for 7 years, and served as a member of the Standing Committee of the ** Military Commission. In 1983, Han Xianchu was elected vice chairman of the National People's Congress, with the vice national level. There are only 4 founding generals who have held this position, namely Wei Guoqing, **Ye Fei and Han Xianchu.
As a generation of famous generals, Han Xianchu's later achievements can be called complete. On the Korean battlefield that year, Han Xianchu left a duodenal ulcer. In 1984, he was diagnosed with liver cancer during a physical examination. Two years later, a generation of famous generals Han Xianchu passed away at the age of 74.
