The quarterfinals of the 2024** Welsh Open are over, with world champion Brecel losing 3-5. In the semifinals, Higgins vs. Gary Wilson and Slessor vs. Odnair.

In the quarter-finals, Odnair defeated Brechel 5-3. Nair scored 88 points in a single stroke to win the first game, Brecel scored 75 points in a single stroke in two consecutive games, and Odenaire scored 61 points in a single stroke to win the fourth game 65-0. In the fifth game, Brecel scored 76 points in a single stroke. In the sixth game, Odnaire scored 130 points in a single stroke. In the seventh game, Odnair narrowly won 74-49 and won the match point 4-3. In the eighth game, Odnaire scored 54 points in a single stroke and narrowly won 70-59, thus winning the game 5-3.

In the quarterfinals, Slessor defeated Dale 5-3, and Slessor scored 128 points in a single stroke and three 50+ shots.

In the semifinals, Slessor faced Odnair, and since the best results of the two previous ranking matches were semifinals, the winner this time will enter the final of the ranking tournament for the first time in his career.

In the quarter-finals, Higgins defeated Mark Allen 5-2, and the two sides drew 2-2 in the first four games, and after the break, Higgins won three games in a row. Higgins scored 131 points in a single stroke and had three 50+ strokes.
