Kinmen is making a fuss, why don't you do it? The lessons of 49 years are unforgettable
The situation in Kinmen is tense, why does our army still not take action? The alarm bell rang for the 49-year defeat. This question has been bothering us all along. This is not a simple military issue, but a major matter concerning the dignity and territorial integrity of the country. The series of recent incidents, especially the incident in which a small fishing boat in Fujian Province was rammed by the Taiwan authorities, have made us even more indignant.
On February 14, 2024, during the Spring Festival, every household puts up lanterns to celebrate the traditional festival. However, an innocent small fishing boat in Fujian Province was unreasonably collided with by the Taiwan authorities, resulting in four crew members falling overboard, two of whom were unfortunately killed. This incident is not only an unwarranted injury to our fishermen, but also a provocation to our country's territory and national dignity!
The Fujian Coast Guard dispatched four law enforcement vessels to the Xiamen-Kinmen waters to launch daily coastal patrol and law enforcement work to closely monitor the sea area. In order to further ensure the security of the maritime area, the Fujian Coast Guard even dispatched six coast guard vessels to carry out tasks in the vicinity, two more than in the past, effectively cracking down on the provocative acts of the Taiwan side.
At the same time, the Chinese People's Liberation Army has also actively participated in the maintenance of the Fujian Coast Guard's law enforcement activities in the waters from Xiamen to Kinmen. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) has dispatched 17 batches of military aircraft to carry out patrol missions, and 11 of them have crossed the "median line of the strait" of the Taiwan authorities, demonstrating our determination and strength.
However, despite our tough approach, we still have not stepped in to solve the Golden Gate problem. Why? There are far-reaching historical reasons for this.
As early as 1949, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) tried to recover Kinmen Island, but at that time there was a major **, which finally put the plan to recover Kinmen on hold. This incident reminds us once again that military action is not the only way out, and that we need to be more cautious about the Taiwan issue.
We must not forget the lessons of the Battle of Kinmen. On the evening of October 24, 1949, a total of three regiments of the first echelon under the command of the 28th Army set sail according to the predetermined plan, but they failed to unify their command, and the formation of various parts was chaotic, which eventually led to the loss of unified command of the landing troops, and they could only penetrate in depth with the enemy army in accordance with the operational direction that had been formulated, and were fiercely attacked by the Kuomintang army.
Although our army made some achievements in the Battle of Kinmen, it ultimately failed to liberate Kinmen and suffered heavy losses. This battle is a wake-up call to us that we must not underestimate the strength of the enemy, let alone repeat the mistakes of the past.
Looking back at history, we know the cruelty and ruthlessness of war. We must be fully prepared to resolve the Taiwan issue at the lowest cost. The situation in Kinmen is tense, and we must take a cool head and decisive actions to safeguard the dignity and territorial integrity of the country!
In short, the Kinmen issue is an issue involving the core interests of the country, and we will never tolerate any provocation against our territory and sovereignty. We have the ability and determination to safeguard the dignity and territorial integrity of our country, and any provocation will be resolutely countered by us!
Although the road is arduous, we believe that under the leadership of the party and the people, we will certainly be able to overcome all difficulties and realize the great rejuvenation of the nation!
