With the Chinese New Year approaching, the Palmire Public Welfare Service Center launched the activity of "One Heart to Love, Sending Warm Sunshine - New Year Family Condolences Visit" at the end of 2023, and the volunteers came to Fengxian and Qingpu in Shanghai to send New Year blessings and greetings to local families in need.

Approaching the Spring Festival, everywhere seems to be extraordinarily peaceful and calm. Under the leadership of the local neighborhood committee of Haiwan Town, Fengxian District, the volunteers first came to Lei Tongtong's house. Lei is 14 years old this year, has excellent academic performance, and currently lives with his grandfather, grandmother and sister. My grandfather lost his ability to work due to poor health and had to live in a nursing home. The family can only rely on the elderly grandmother to do the housekeeping.

Lei's family attaches great importance to learning, and her sister Lei Jia has excellent academic performance, and is currently the target of Paimi Lei Public Welfare Service Center (she has been helping since junior high school and is currently in her third year of high school), and the volunteers hope that Lei can also work hard like her sister, study hard, and strive for a better tomorrow.

When they met Xiao Xuan again this year, the volunteers found that Xiao Xuan had not only grown a lot taller, but also had more smiles on his face (volunteers had visited Xiao Xuan on the occasion of the Chinese New Year for two consecutive years). Xiao Xuan, 14 years old this year, his father died when he was very young, and he is currently living in a rented house with his mother, and the family economy is mainly maintained by his mother's meager salary. Volunteers sent holiday gifts and Chinese New Year greetings, and cordially inquired about their recent study and living conditions.

During the conversation, Xiao Xuan and his mother's tolerance, kindness and optimism infected every volunteer present. They embrace all the changes in life with a positive attitude, and the volunteers wish them a better life in the future.

Afterwards, the volunteers came to Xiao Zhu's home. Xiao Zhu is 14 years old this year, his father is severely disabled and unemployed, and his mother is seriously ill and unemployed. Xiao Zhu was shy, and the volunteers first opened the conversation box during the conversation and carefully asked Xiao Zhu about his study and life. Under the leadership of the volunteers, Xiao Zhu also had a smile on his face and began to slowly confide in his heart.

Although there are ups and downs in life, the young man's eyes are still shining, which is a vision and yearning for the future. The volunteers carefully advised Zhu to face all the unevenness in life with a positive and optimistic attitude, to be angry and strong, and to change his fate with knowledge.

New Year, New Wishes, Everything Goes True. Paimire Public Service Center sincerely hopes that these families will have something beautiful and new to happen in the new year, and their lives will get better and better. I wish you all academic progress and healthy growth!
