In September 1969, two young public security officers were walking in Nanbeiyingzi Village, when an old member who was working in the fields suddenly threw down his hoe and ran away, and the responsive public security officers immediately chased after him.
After all, he is already 72 years old, and the old members can't outrun the young and strong public security officers. So after a while, he was caught up by public security officers. In despair, he knelt directly on the ground and sighed: "I didn't expect that after 22 years, I still can't escape the eyes of the Communist Party." ”
Twenty-two years ago, there was a bloody case in Chaihulanzi Village. It was May 1947, and a 72-member delegation of the Eastern Hebei Military Region decided to rest for one night in Chaihulanzi Village after attending a meeting of the Jichareliao Military Region of the Communist Party of China.
In this impoverished village, there are only about 30 households, and Su Linyan, head of the military sub-district delegation, decided to let the members of the delegation live in the village, while the cavalry company lives in the nearby village of Caifengyingzi.
However, as soon as the secret was overlooked, a bandit team of more than 500 people stayed in a village six miles away from Chaihulanzi Village, and when they heard the news that there were PLA cadres staying in Chaihulanzi Village, they began to plan an attack.
This news put the delegation of the Eastern Hebei Military Sub-district in danger, and a bloody case occurred.
Before the liberation, bandits were rampant in many places in Hebei, among which there were several bandits in Tianyi County, and Ren Fangwu was one of them. The Kuomintang not only did not encircle and suppress the bandits, but promised to be generous and let them use it for their own use.
However, these bandits were already cruel and ruthless, and they became even more brutal after becoming the first, creating a lot of trouble for the PLA. Ren Fangwu was born in a wealthy family, once served as the principal of Weichang Primary School, was originally an intellectual, but he misbehaved, made friends with indiscreet people, and was a traitor during the Anti-Japanese War.
When the People's Liberation Army (PLA) reached Bazi Village, his father was suppressed and his family property was distributed to the poor, and he hated it to the core, and rallied bandits against the PLA. However, under the encirclement and suppression of the People's Liberation Army, his team was quickly crushed, and he fled to Dawopu in desperation.
There, he met a Kuomintang spy team and learned that the Kuomintang 93rd Army was stationed in Chifeng City, so he planned to defect. On the way, many routs and bandits were contained, and the team gradually grew.
Later, he learned that there were big cadres of the People's Liberation Army living in Chaihulanzi Village, so he planned to seize them as a letter of surrender and defect to the Kuomintang. In the dead of night, he led the bandits to surround the village, and the PLA representatives could only resist with short guns and a small amount of ammunition.
Su Linyan sent guards to inform the cavalry company stationed in Caifeng Yingzi Village to come for reinforcements, but it was not easy to find the cavalry company, and the guards found the cavalry company in Beishan.
After hearing the gunfire, the cavalry company could not judge the specific situation because of the mixed cannon sound, and did not dare to act rashly. When the guards came to report the situation, the company commander Wang Huqing quickly found the high ground to observe, and found that the enemy had more than 1,000 people besieging Chaihulanzi Village, while the cavalry company had only more than 70 people, and there were no submachine guns and shells, and the situation was extremely serious.
Wang Huqing believed that a blind attack at this time would undoubtedly be a death sentence, so he refused to go to reinforcements, and refused the request of the guards on the grounds that "the situation is unclear and cannot be blindly attacked".
The guards reminded him that as a member of the protection delegation, he had a responsibility to protect the safety of the chief, but Wang Huqing still did not dare to go because he was afraid. In the end, the guards could only go back and report to Su Linyan.
Wang Huqing, fearing that he would be discovered by the enemy, ordered the cavalry company to hide in the dense forest. Fortunately, another cavalry company heard the gunfire and came to reinforcements. Seeing the arrival of reinforcements, the bandit leader Fang Wu was worried that there would be more rescuers if he did not retreat, so he quickly ended the battle, fled with the bandits, and captured two female interpreters.
Although the bandits were repulsed, the delegation also lost 22 people, 5 of whom were cadres at or above the division level, which made *** angry. He immediately ordered that no matter how far the bandits fled to **, they should be arrested and brought to justice.
After the Jireliao Military Region set up an anti-bandit team, the bandits were arrested one after another, but there was still a cunning bandit Ren Fangwu who fled into the mountains and became a fish that slipped through the net. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, although the operation to arrest Ren Fangwu has been carried out, he has never been whereabouts like evaporating from the world.
It was not until 1968 that Qi Dabang, who was released from prison, returned to Weichang County and became a member of Manzigou Commune. However, Qi Dabang is idle, lazy, and reluctantly does farm work every day, and also likes to say strange things, which affects the enthusiasm of members and agricultural production.
Therefore, the commune leaders asked him to go to the production team to catch the cart. Although Qi Dabang likes to catch a big car, he took advantage of people's unpreparedness and did some petty theft, which attracted the attention of the security director.
One day, the security director suddenly called Qi Dabang to the office, and there were two public security officers sitting inside, which made Qi Dabang panic and worried that he had any evidence in their hands.
Qi Dabang was taken to the interrogation room by the public security police, and he looked nervous and kept wiping the sweat from his forehead. The police officer asked: "Qi Dabang, have you been to Nanbei Yingzi Village recently?"
When Qi Dabang heard this question, his face instantly turned pale, and he stammered: "I've been there, I'm going to deliver fertilizer." The police officer stared at Qi Dabang and said solemnly: "We have enough evidence to come to you, if you dare to lie, you will bear the consequences." You'd better be honest, or you might end up in jail. ”
Qi Dabang was frightened, and then confessed: "I saw the former bandit leader Ren Fangwu there. ”
Then, he told everything that had happened. It turned out that Qi Dabang was on a delivery trip when he saw a man working in the field with his head down and not looking at him.
He took a closer look and found that the person turned out to be Ren Fangwu. This discovery surprised Qi Dabang, but he did not make a noise, but quietly inquired about the situation in Nanbei Yingzi Village.
It turned out that Ren Fangwu had been hiding there incognito before the liberation, and the villagers did not know his true identity for so many years. Qi Dabang did not report Ren Fangwu, not out of the intention of protecting him, but to take the opportunity to blackmail him.
Unexpectedly, before it could be implemented, it was discovered by the public security police. The police officers were originally just trying to catch Qi Dabang's petty theft, but they accidentally discovered Ren Fangwu, a big bandit leader.
In order to prevent accidents, they immediately rushed to Nanbei Yingzi Village and arrested Ren Fangwu, who was working. Due to Qi Dabang's identification, Ren Fangwu could only bow his head and admit his guilt.
On February 23, 1970, a public trial meeting was held in Weichang County, and 72-year-old Ren Fangwu was executed. The 22 martyrs who died in the Chai Hu Lanzi bloody case can finally rest in peace.
