Recently, CEIBS EMBA and CITIC Dafang jointly organized an end-of-year salon focusing on new consumption. More than 80 CEIBS alumni, EMBA students and potential applicants attended the event. Wu Chen, editor-in-chief of The Economist Business Review, Sun Laichun (EMBA 2023), founder of Lin Qingxuan, and Sun Tingting (EMBA 2023), founding partner of Mumian Capital & Introvert, respectively from the perspectives of editor-in-chief, brand entrepreneurs and investors, summarize 2023 and look forward to 2024, and explore the right things in the long term in the changing situation.
Wu Chen first explained the new challenges faced by enterprises in the era of 3R (resilience, reshaping, and reform), and entrepreneurs should think about how to find certainty from uncertainty. Sun Laichun told the story of his personal and brand through the "counter-cycle". Sun Tingting shared three changing trends in China's consumer industry and dismantled Warren Buffett's way of consumer investment. In the roundtable discussion that followed, the three guests discussed the current competitive situation of consumer goods, overseas strategy, consumer portrait and other topics, and had an interactive Q&A with the audience.
