I can t buy a ticket on 12306, why does the third party platform show that there is a ticket?

The Spring Festival is approaching, and people are in a hurry to go home for the New Year, but train tickets are too hard to grab. Many netizens found that they could hardly buy tickets on the official railway ticketing platform 12306, but they could easily get them on third-party platforms such as Ctrip and Fliggy.

This has made some people wonder if the railway department has made a name for itself, whether it deliberately issued fewer tickets and gave the majority of the money to a third party.

Some people even speculate whether 12306 has solved the problem of scalpers in the past, but in the process it has become the biggest "legal scalper", giving the tickets to Ctrip and other platforms, and then encouraging everyone to buy extra money in other places, and finally share.

A staff member of the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau responded by insisting that 12306 is the only official ticketing platform and that no third-party platform has special rights in terms of ticket purchases. The staff member made it clear that in most cases, if 12306 shows that it is sold out, then other third-party platforms will not actually be able to provide tickets, and even if they show that there are remaining tickets, they may be told that the actual purchase will not be successful.

In addition, the sell-out information displayed by railway 12306 usually means that the full journey ticket from the start to the end point is sold out. In contrast, a third-party platform may use a unique algorithm to purchase a ticket for a relatively unpopular stop along the way, and then gradually make up the ticket to the final station. This explains why third-party platforms, although they show that they have tickets, may indicate stations that require additional tickets, or may need to change seats on the bus.

Although 12306 has repeatedly emphasized that no platform has priority, individuals and third-party platforms are treated the same. However, the real experience of many netizens is that it is difficult to buy tickets on 12306, but they can successfully buy tickets on third-party platforms.

What the hell is going on? I heard that Ctrip, these third-party platforms, like us ordinary people, also have to compete with everyone on 12306 for that limited ticket. However, these platforms such as Ctrip use some technical means to obtain ticket information from 12306 and then sell them on their own platforms.

Compared with us personally, these Ctrips have better servers and advanced technology. For us ordinary users, the network speed is slow, and the manual operation speed cannot catch up with the efficient ticket-grabbing software of these third-party platforms. As a result, we often can't compete with these third-party platforms when grabbing tickets, and we are always seconds away from their large servers. This is a very important reason why it is difficult for individuals to successfully grab tickets, while these platforms such as Ctrip can always succeed in grabbing tickets.

Recently, I also checked on platforms such as Qunar and found that it is the same as what everyone said. 12306 shows no tickets, but there are actually on these platforms. But they have a small tip, such as the whole direct ticket, you can change the seat once, or buy a few stops to ensure that you get on the train, and then grab the second half, and then make up the ticket if you can't grab it. So, their ticket-selling strategy is here.

Third-party platforms don't seem to be thinking about how to meet everyone's needs to go home to the greatest extent, but more like only caring about you, treating you as a valued user of the platform, taking care of you like God, making it convenient for you to come, and as for what other people do, it's not their problem, that's what the country should consider.
