In addition to pure electric power, hydrogen power is also one of the important alternative energy sources in the future, so whether it is hydrogen fuel cell, or hydrogen internal combustion power technology, has become the development target of some car manufacturers, the most well-known brand is Toyota, but Honda is not far behind.

Honda launched the CR-V FCEV hydrogen fuel cell vehicle last year, and although it has not yet been mass-produced, it has enough market highlights, and recently the factory released a promotional video of the CR-V FCEV as a pre-launch marketing application. While the vehicle is still cloaked in camouflage, more related applications are introduced. First of all, the car has both a hydrogen power module and a pure electric battery module, which means that the car supports both hydrogen power and pure electric power modes. When the energy storage of the vehicle is low, the vehicle owner can choose to refuel or charge the vehicle according to the environment, which solves the current situation that the current hydrogen refueling station is still insufficient, so that consumers can be more willing to buy hydrogen energy vehicles.

In addition, the CR-V FCEV's large battery also supports bidirectional power supply, which can be used in household devices such as coffee machines. Honda has not disclosed the capacity of its hydrogen storage tank, so it is impossible to know the car's range, but the system, which was jointly developed with GM, costs only one-third of the cost of the Honda Clarity FCEV and has better reliability.

The Honda CR-V FCEV is currently expected to go on sale this year, but it will initially only be sold in North America and Japan due to the lack of widespread use of hydrogen refueling stations and other infrastructure. Other existing FCEVs include the Toyota Mirai, Hyundai Nexo, and BMW iX5 Hydrogen.
