Nine years ago today, a flight from Malaysia to Beijing suddenly lost contact, becoming the biggest unsolved mystery in aviation history.
At 2:40 a.m. on 8 March 2014, Malaysia Airlines MH370 lost contact on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Despite large-scale search and rescue operations around the world, no trace of the missing flight has been found. Malaysia** released a four-year investigation report in 2018 that showed that the plane may have crashed into the southern Indian Ocean at a depth of 4,000-7,000 meters, and the wreckage has been scattered to all corners of the ocean due to the influence of sea movements and currents, and the possibility of salvage is almost non-existent. The disappearance of MH370 brought endless grief to the families of the passengers on the plane at that time. For them, that moment of grief will remain in their hearts forever. After Malaysia Airlines MH370 went missing, the airline reached an agreement with the families of the victims, agreeing to pay compensation of 2.52 million yuan per person.
This incident has made us think about aviation safety and made us cherish the time we spend with our families even more. May the deceased rest in peace, and may the families be able to come out of the shadows as soon as possible.
