Kangxi ordered to treat the waste prince well, Yongzheng regarded it as a parent, and Qianlong was imprisoned to death
Before Emperor Kangxi died, he passed the throne to Yinzhen, the fourth son of the emperor, and prudently instructed him about the abolition of the crown prince Yunren and the emperor's eldest son Yunzhen. The abolished prince Yunren and the emperor's eldest son Yunren have been imprisoned for many years, and the second son of the abolished prince, Honghui, is the first and only grandson raised by Kangxi in the palace in addition to the fourth son of the emperor, Hongli.
Kangxi originally planned to let the deposed prince Yunren succeed to the throne, and then pass the throne to his favorite grandson Honghui after a hundred years of Yunren. According to the record of "Li Dynasty Records", the Korean envoys saw that Kangxi loved Honghui very much, and thought that the crown prince Yunren might be reinstated, because Honghui was very virtuous and deeply loved by Kangxi.
However, the performance of the crown prince Yunren disappointed Kangxi, and he was abolished and re-established, but he still did not succeed, and finally chose the fourth son of the emperor Yinzhen to inherit the throne, and because of Yinzhen's fourth son Hongli, he was loved by Kangxi.
Although Kangxi did not pass the throne to Yunren, he also felt guilty about them, so Yunren was imprisoned, but he lived a rich life and was able to live a long life. Although Honghui could not be the crown prince, he was also named the highest-level prince of the clan - Prince Heshuo.
Honghui, Kangxi's favored grandson, has a noble status. He grew up in the palace since he was a child, and he was the only imperial grandson who was raised by Kangxi himself. His mother is the side Fujin Li family, because the eldest son died young, he was the eldest son of Yunren.
According to Kangxi's favor, he will most likely be named the crown prince. However, his fate was closely linked to his father Yunren, and the position of Prince Yunren was abolished, and Honghui lost his chance to take the throne.
Some people may ask, why not just crown him as the emperor's grandson to inherit the throne? Because although the crown prince Yunren was imprisoned, he did not die of illness, if he crossed the still living son and directly named Honghui as the emperor's grandson, it is indeed unreasonable.
Despite this, there is a rumor in the palace that Kangxi wants to make Honghui the prince, which is already a great favor.
Although Honghui was not named a prince when Kangxi was alive, after Kangxi's death, Yongzheng regarded him as a parent. Honghui is the only nephew who was prepared to be crowned a prince during Yongzheng's accession to the throne, and he is also the only person who was named the king of Doroli County, which is closely related to Kangxi's deathbed will to Yongzheng.
It is said that in the report of the Korean envoy to the king, it was mentioned how Yongzheng treated Honghui, including the Kangxi Emperor's deposition of Honghui, the son of the crown prince, as king, and the transfer of the palace room, the imperial service, gold and silver, Zang Shu, the palace, and the official family to Honghui by the Yongzheng Emperor.
Although it is difficult to distinguish the authenticity of the "Records of the Li Dynasty" and the reports of the Korean envoys after their return to China, they can be used as information for us to understand Honghui to a certain extent. In order to let the abolished prince Yinren live with his family according to Kangxi's wishes, Yongzheng built a house in Zhengjiazhuang, but because Kangxi did not have a clear will, Yongzheng did not dare to decide without permission, so he asked Honghui, who had been named the king of the county, to move to Zhengjiazhuang with his family.
In fact, before Kangxi's death, he had ordered the construction of Zhengjiazhuang, and let Prince Heng Yunqi, Prince Yu Baotai, Prince Dun Yunyou, Honghui and others take their families to live in Zhengjiazhuang, which is twenty miles away from the suburbs of Beijing, and allocated them more than 400 houses.
Yongzheng treated Honghui with courtesy, and arranged thousands of soldiers and slaves to protect him and his family in Zhengjiazhuang. Honghui often referred to Yongzheng as the "imperial father" in his songs, indicating that their relationship was very close.
In addition, Yongzheng also allowed Honghui to enter Beijing every month to participate in court meetings and archery activities.
The son of Honghui, ordered by Yongzheng, was handed over to the fifteenth emperor's uncle Yunyu to raise. Although Honghui was favored by Yongzheng, the deposed prince Yunren did not gain freedom from Xianyang Palace.
When Yongzheng was seriously ill in the second year, Yongzheng prepared for his posthumous affairs in advance, and allowed Honghui to fulfill his filial piety. After Yunren died of illness, Yongzheng posthumously named him Prince Heshuoli and buried him according to the prince's specifications.
Yunren once gave Yongzheng a fold before his death: "I taught Honghui to be loyal to his father wholeheartedly, this is my most sincere heartfelt words. Honghui inherited his father's title and became the highest knighthood among his peers.
After Yongzheng's death, Honghui paid tribute to Empress Xiaojingxian. Honghui had a smooth life in both the Kangxi and Yongzheng dynasties, and almost never experienced setbacks. Although his father Yunren was deposed, his future was not affected.
After Yongzheng ascended the throne, he had Kangxi's will, so he naturally would not treat Honghui badly. Coupled with Yunren's widow, Yongzheng will not treat Honghui badly and let him inherit his father's title.
The reason why Honghui was able to live a stable life in the Yongzheng Dynasty was because Yongzheng really treated him well, and on the other hand, because he was Yongzheng's junior, and Yongzheng's majestic means made Honghui dare not think anything wrong.
Honghui was originally only two steps away from the throne, but his father Yunren was not angry, he was deposed, and he was "involved" that he had no chance to be on the throne. After Qianlong succeeded to the throne, Honghui spit out a bad breath in his heart, hoping to regain the position that originally belonged to him.
When Qianlong succeeded to the throne, he mentioned Prince Zhuang Yunlu, Prince Guo Yunli, Ortai and Zhang Tingyu, hoping that they could assist Qianlong to sit on the throne. After Qianlong succeeded to the throne, these people secretly came and went intimately and confronted Qianlong, who had just succeeded to the throne.
In addition to Prince Zhuang Yunlu, there are also Prince Li Honghui, Junwang Hongsheng, Baylor Hongchang and others. Honghui thought that he was once the concubine of the East Palace, and he was resentful and dissatisfied. And Prince Zhuang Yunlu was the minister left by Yongzheng to Qianlong, and was rewarded by Qianlong with the princes of Yulu, and he was extremely favored.
Hongchang and Hongjiao, the sons of Yunxiang, the thirteenth brother of Yongzheng, Hongjiao was named the king of the county, and Hongchang was named Baylor. In the fourth year of Qianlong, some people reported to Qianlong that Honghui, Yunlu and others had formed a party for personal gain and had close contacts.
Qianlong pushed the boat down the river and ordered the Zongren Mansion to investigate the matter, and accused Honghui of misconduct and ill intentions. Faced with the investigation of the Zongren Mansion, Honghui resolutely refused to admit his guilt and insisted that he was not guilty.
Qianlong finally ruled that Honghui's crime was the most serious, and Yunlu, Hongsheng, Hongchang and others fornicated with each other and were punished to varying degrees.
Honghui is the son of Prince Rimi, who was once confined to his home because of his father's sins. After my father ascended the throne, he made him the prince and prince of the county, and gave him special preferential treatment. But his behavior is uninhibited, he only flatters Prince Zhuang, and thinks that he is the former concubine of the East Palace, and his heart is terrifying.
Still, I can't condemn him as a usurper. I decreed that his title of prince would be revoked, but that he would be allowed to continue to reside in Zhengjiazhuang. Yunroku and Hongsheng were also stripped of their titles, but were permanently imprisoned.
In this way, the case of Honghui and Yunlu in Qianlong's ten years was closed, and I still had affection for him, but I only stripped him of his title and allowed him to live in Zhengjiazhuang. However, in December, Honghui's confidant Funing went to the Zongren Mansion to file a complaint, and I was very angry, so I ordered that Ne Qin and others should strictly try Honghui's case.
During the trial, I was very angry about the statement of the wizard Antai. Antai said that he once went to Honghui's mansion, and Honghui asked him if Zhun Geer could come to the capital, whether the world could remain peaceful, whether the emperor could live a long life, and whether he could continue to be promoted.
Although Honghui is the prince of Heshuo, his ambitions do not stop there, and he even puts it into action. Qianlong was furious and permanently imprisoned Honghui in Jingshan East Orchard, and deprived his descendants of their yellow belts, causing them to be removed from the clan.
It was not until the first month of the forty-third year of Qianlong that Qianlong restored the original names of Yun Xi, Yun Tang and Honghui, and re-included their descendants in the Jade Butterfly, but their princes could never be restored.
Honghui's father, Yunren, was once a deposed prince, and his existence made Kangxi very worried. Before dying, Kangxi instructed Yongzheng to treat the abolished prince Yunren and the emperor's eldest son Yunren well, because he was afraid that Yongzheng would be unfavorable to them after he ascended the throne.
Similarly, Honghui also missed the throne because of his father's involvement. But Kangxi was thoughtful, he was worried that Yongzheng would harm Honghui, and he was also worried that Honghui would be jealous of Yongzheng. Therefore, he chose to let Yongzheng personally crown Honghui as the king of the county, and then let Honghui inherit the title of his father: Prince Heshuo.
Although Honghui was the first of his generation, this did not mean that he could become emperor. Yongzheng is a mean and cold person, and he is ruthless to his own brothers, not to mention his nephew Honghui.
But Yongzheng treats Honghui very well, which is really not easy.
Hongli** made Honghui uneven, and he had the idea of usurping the throne. However, this is tantamount to gambling, and the result can only be imprisoned to death, and there is no chance of glory and wealth.
