Recently, Immersed launched a pre-sale event for the VISTOR, revealing the hardware version and pricing of the headset, which is scheduled to be released next year.

Announced in August, the Visor is an ultra-compact XR headset with an OLED micro display, inside-out tracking, HD color see-through, hand tracking, and eye tracking for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Immersed says the Visor has an on-board chipset and battery to support wireless mode.

Immersed has currently developed a free app for Meta Quest, Vive Focus 3, and Pico 4 that can display PC monitors in VR and generate fully virtual additional displays, for a total of up to 5 monitors. The visor is designed to be a purpose-built device with simplified software designed around this use case, rather than a general-purpose headset for an ecosystem of applications.

Immersed Visor has entered into a "strategic partnership" with Qualcomm on devices and Intel on PC capabilities, and will unveil an "undisclosed AR VR technology partner" later this year.

Immersed claims that the headset is designed for "all-day" comfort, is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and weighs less than a typical smartphone.

The official website states that there will be three versions of the VISTOR: Double 25K, dual 4K and dual 4K Founder's Edition, the difference between these products is mainly reflected in the screen resolution, and other hardware parameters are basically the same.

One of the double 2The 5K version costs $500, the dual 4K version costs $750, and the Founder's Edition retails for $1,249 and can be pre-sold to $1,000 by the end of September**, with shipping six months earlier than the regular version. In addition, the Founder's Edition is limited to 25,000 units and comes with a lifetime subscription to the Premium version of the Immersed app.

Like BigScreen Beyond, the Visor will also support customization to match each buyer's IPD. Immersed emphasizes that once the headset scans the user's face, the booking deposit will not be refunded (except in exceptional circumstances).

In addition to announcing pricing and opening pre-orders, Immersed also shared actual images of the Visor (all other images have been renders so far).
