According to information gathered by Sailing, The State of Now is a single-player simulation game in which the player takes on the role of a state employee tasked with providing food to citizens.
The game is set in a totalitarian country, and players are required to perform a variety of tasks, including analyzing the validity of submitted documents, performing different types of scans on customers to look for anomalies, checking food restrictions and handling payments for food, among other things, in order to control and decide who will be able to get food.
The game was initially only available in English and Spanish. In the game, players need to explore and experience the political, economic, and social environment of this world by simulating various decisions and actions in a fictional world.
