The Association of Chinese Professionals in Belgium celebrates its 20th anniversary

Brussels, China, Feb. 11 -- On February 10, the first day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon, the banquet hall of the Brussels Tangla Yaxiu HNA Hotel was lit up with lights and beaming, and the 20th anniversary celebration of the Chinese Professionals in Belgium (ACPB) and the Spring Festival celebration of the Year of the Dragon were held here.

ACPB was officially established on May 17, 2003 in Leuven, Belgium, and has been established for 20 years. Unlike other overseas Chinese groups in Belgium, which either highlight a certain region or emphasize the characteristics of a certain industry, ACPB is a non-profit organization composed of overseas Chinese professional and technical people living in Belgium and engaged in various industries.

In the past 20 years, ACPB has developed from a small association to a large association, from holding small lectures to holding large forums, the scale of the gathering has increased from dozens of people to hundreds of people, from the obscurity of the beginning to the current fame, it can be said that it has walked out of a very extraordinary road.

Today, ACPB has become a warm family of overseas Chinese professionals in Belgium, a well-known association that connects and unites professionals from all walks of life in Belgium and Europe, and an important bridge to promote multi-faceted exchanges and cooperation between China and Belgium and China and Europe.

Over the past 20 years, the ACPB Council has made great efforts to promote scientific and technological education and cultural exchanges between China and Belgium and China and Europe, and has achieved fruitful results. At the same time, it has also made great efforts to promote the friendship and exchanges between the majority of members and their relatives, and has made remarkable achievements. ACPB has become a multi-functional platform loved by professionals from all walks of life in Belgium and Europe.

Zhu Ping, Chairman of ACPB, said to the 400 guests attending the event that over the past 20 years, ACPB has been adhering to the tenet of "serving members and promoting development", constantly expanding service areas, continuously improving service levels, and providing a good communication platform for members. In the process, we have grown and progressed together, and have witnessed the development of the association from a start-up to an influential organization of professionals in Belgium and Europe.

Song Zhiwei, president of the All-European Federation of Chinese Professional Associations, served as the third president of the ACPB. He described the main functions of the ACPB as networking, development, cooperation and bridging.

In his speech, Chairman of the Belgian-Chinese Economic and Trade Committee, De Witt, said that ACPB is a very good organization of Chinese professionals, and for more than ten years, the two sides have supported and cooperated with each other, which has had a positive impact on promoting cooperation and exchanges between China and Belgium in many aspects. The Belgian-Belgian Economic and Trade Commission (BECF) looks forward to deepening cooperation with the ACPB and striving to make greater contributions to the friendship and cooperation between China and Belgium between the people and even the government.

Wu Gang, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, said that ACPB, as the largest professional association in Belgium, has lived up to its mission and taken the initiative to achieve fruitful results in exchanges between China and Belgium in the fields of humanities, science and education.

The celebration also held theatrical performances, including the chorus "China in the Lights", the string quartet "Yao Dance", "Spring Festival Overture", the soprano solo "Yue Ren Song", "Song of the Yangtze River", and the collective recitation of "Don't forget the original intention, forge ahead" and other programs are exquisite and beautiful, in line with the theme, and are warmly welcomed.
