I'm a writer, and I've been working on codewords for a long time. At one point, I was confident that I could write 6,000-8,000 words a day.
It's because I'm so confident that I think I can write five or six essays a day, so I haven't seriously tested my output speed.
Today, there were dark clouds and light rain outside, so I read and wrote at home.
At dinner, I suddenly wanted to see how many words I had written today, and after counting it, it was about 5,000 words.
To be honest, it shocked me.
Because today's time is completely at my disposal, with no other distractions, I completed three essays and two answers, totaling less than 5,000 words.
Those gods who have kept 10,000 words a day for many years are really awe-inspiring.
Among the gods of online literature, the only Internet celebrity author with the least updates is "Son-in-law", with an average daily update of 1,400 words for many years. The gods of other platforms such as tomatoes and starting points have more than 20,000 or 30,000 per day.
Today, I have been a productive day, and I have only output 5,000 words, which makes me realize that I am really far away from 10,000 words a day.
My goal is to increase the output to an average of 10,000 words per day, which requires increasing the amount of writing training, because without the accumulation of quantity, there is no way to talk about qualitative improvement.
10,000 words a day, at least 100 minutes, add 100 words a minute, rest for 10 minutes every 50 minutes of writing, move your body, stretch, then it will take at least 2 hours to write.
For a person in a core position in a core department, the challenge is very difficult.
The premise of doing 10,000 words a day is:
1.Familiar with online text routines, familiar with attracting readers, creating suspense and contradictions, describing character plots and dialogues;
2.Work efficiently and complete work tasks on a lower schedule;
3.Keep exercising, keep your body healthy;
4.Manage your energy and time efficiently and spend less time scrolling on your phone. I don't have my phone with me at all when I write.
What is the limit of the long-term goal?
20,000 words, or even more.
Because practice makes perfect. I feel like my limit is around 30,000 to 40,000 words. Hopefully, this output will be achieved in half a year.
To reach the stage of the spring of literary thoughts, it is to keep writing, and the key is to keep writing, keep writing.
Just start writing, and you're ahead of 90%.
