On the same day, an archway-style stage was set up in the square of the Free Zone of São Paulo, the middle of the stage was decorated with the pattern of double dragons playing with pearls, and the animation interpretation of "Dragon Soaring Four Seas" was performed on the electronic screen in the background, and the logo of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan jointly designed by Chinese and Pakistani designers was hung high on it, which was particularly eye-catching.

At the beginning of the event, Yu Peng, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in São Paulo, José Renato Nalini, Director of the Climate Change Executive Bureau of São Paulo, Brazil, and other Chinese and Pakistani leaders jointly planted saplings in the free zone to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.

Yu Peng said in his speech at the Happy Spring Festival Garden Party that 2024 is the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese lunar calendar, and he hoped that the spirit of the dragon could inject strong impetus into China and Pakistan, so that everyone can work together to enhance the friendship between the two peoples and jointly write the next "50 years" of China-Pakistan relations.

Nalini said in his speech that after 50 years of Pakistan-China cooperation, Pakistan-China relations have become more and more important in today's world pattern, São Paulo and many Chinese cities are more closely connected, and the Lantern Festival celebration in the free zone reflects the integration of Pakistani Chinese.

At 11 o'clock, the gongs and drums at the event site were noisy, and nearly 10 dragon and lion dance troupes in São Paulo entered the scene, posing in a phalanx, each showing their unique skills. Sometimes cute lions sell cute, sometimes the dragon head pokes into the crowd, and there is a strong martial arts dragon dance team, stacking arhats, and lifting the dragon head to a height of more than 5 meters above the ground, arousing the audience to exclaim and laugh.
