The first batch of 1,800 bottles was produced at a price of £125. As there is no legal definition of rye whisky in Scotland, the liquor can only be classified as a single grain whisky. The wine takes on the colour of golden syrup, and the spices are immediately on the nose, accompanied by notes of liquorice, black pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. The softness of the palate is offset by the spicinessness of the rye, and the freshly roasted primal oak barrels bring the sweetness of marzipan, vanilla and chocolate, all complemented by the spices of rye and the citrus-green fruit of the barley grown in Islay. The finish is sweet and full-bodied oak, ripe pears and green apples, followed by delicate malt pastries and finally vanilla custard.

31.Siempre Exclusivo-vivo agave

Independent spirits brand Siempre was created in collaboration with Sergio Cruz, one of Mexico's most famous agave masters, and Adam Fodor, founder of the International Academy of Tequila, who made a limited edition tequila using the "already forgotten" Hispanic-Peruvian distillation method. To create this unique agave, they started distilling the juice extracted from the agave after it was cooked and crushed while the yeast was still alive, and since it was done in the open air, this meant that some of the alcohol was lost through evaporation, but it was easier for local bacteria to enter the tank and compete with the yeast for food and nutrients, this open distillation reduced yield, but also meant that the liquor contained more of the essence of agave, providing unique depth and flavor complexity.

Made from 100% Blue Weber, El Chivo and Arandas Tequila from the Arandas region of Jalisco, it has an alcohol content of 475% ABV, not diluted with water, limited to 9,000 bottles, priced at $130, has a "slight peppery flavor" with notes of fresh fruit, honey and silky butter.
