The shareholder is wholly owned by Foxconn New Business Development Group, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hongfujin Precision Electronics (Zhengzhou).
In fact, it is no longer news that Foxconn is making cars.
As early as 2021, Foxconn joined forces with Yulon Automobile, the parent company of Luxgen, to set up a company called "Honghua Advanced Foxtron". The company has also unveiled five new cars. And the name of this company's new car is also directly copied from Tesla's "homework", what Model B, Model C, Model T, etc., in addition to X S and Y, this company can also build 23 models.
Among them, the well-known Model C, which is claimed to be mass-produced in the fourth quarter of 23, will be delivered in January this year. But there is still no news.
Just when everyone thought Foxconn had died down, it came back. According to the official response: this company will focus on independent research and development of products.
From a literal point of view, Foxconn doesn't have the meaning of building a car, and wants to find an "OEM" partner to open up a "second front". In fact, this is the fourth time Foxconn wants to enter the game to build a car, but it has not succeeded once.
The first time was in 2014, when Foxconn and BAIC established an electric vehicle leasing company, Green Dog Car Rental. At that time, it wanted to lay out shared cars, with BAIC providing vehicles, and the two jointly established a leasing platform. It's just that in the end, after losing tens of millions, BAIC was forced to ** equity, and Foxconn's first car construction ended in failure.
This incident was also ruthlessly ridiculed by Musk: "Cars are much more complicated than mobile phones, you can't go to a factory like Foxconn and say, 'Build me a car'." ”
But after that, Foxconn quickly made a comeback. In July 2015, Foxconn, together with Tencent and Harmony Automobile, established Harmony Futum Investment Group, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. At the same time, they also recruited many "rim bosses". Among them are Dai Lei, general manager of Infiniti China, Bi Fukang, former head of the BMW i8 project, and Fu Qiang, CEO of Volvo China.

However, a year after its establishment, the three had disputes because of the production qualification and the direction of the enterprise. Foxconn and Tencent have exited the company. After Foxconn withdrew, it was even more arrogant, announcing that it would no longer invest in automobile manufacturing projects.
Of course, Foxconn later "slapped its face" and made up a foxtron, wanting to sell the platform to car companies, known as "Android in the automotive industry", but no one bought it.
Now, the fourth Foxconn to build a car should not end better than the first three, as for whether there will be a fifth? There is a high probability that there will be, and it may be entered with Apple.
