On February 26, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Hunan Branch of the Agricultural Development Bank held a special discussion to further strengthen the protection and utilization of traditional villages in the province and explore the "Hunan path" for the protection and activation of traditional villages.
The cultural protection resources of traditional villages in our province are very rich, and there are 704 traditional villages, ranking third in the country. There is also 1 demonstration city (prefecture) for the centralized and contiguous protection and utilization of traditional villages, and 3 demonstration counties for the centralized and contiguous protection and utilization of traditional villages.
According to reports, the two sides plan to comprehensively strengthen agricultural policy-based financial instruments to support the protection and utilization of traditional villages by jointly issuing implementation opinions, carrying out pilot projects in counties with rich traditional village resources, and establishing joint project reserves.
According to the guidance on credit support for the protection and utilization of traditional villages issued by the head office of the Agricultural Development Bank, the Hunan Branch of the Agricultural Development Bank will fully cooperate with the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development to make precise efforts to implement the protection and utilization of traditional villages with credit, make good use of funds, and control risks.
