In order to enrich the holiday cultural life of young people in the community and further inherit and promote the intangible cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, on the morning of February 20, 2024, the Huangjueping community carefully organized a volunteer service activity for the practice of civilization in the new era with the theme of "inheriting the intangible cultural heritage culture and celebrating the Lantern Festival".
In this event, the young volunteers of the Little Yellow Duck Volunteer Service Team of the Huangjueping Community Organization came to the China Lantern Museum to experience the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage. In the museum, the children had an in-depth understanding of the exquisite craftsmanship of the lanterns, comprehensively browsed the historical evolution, customs formation and modern development of the Zigong Lantern Festival, and at the same time appreciated the exquisite lantern groups of the previous lantern festivals, and fully felt the profound heritage of traditional intangible cultural heritage.
After the visit, a DIY production session was also arranged. Under the guidance of professionals, the children started to make simple round lanterns through DIY creativity and turned them into colorful lanterns of different shapes. In the production process, the children not only exercised their hands-on ability, but also deeply experienced the charm of traditional culture in a happy and peaceful atmosphere, making this Lantern Festival extraordinarily colorful and unforgettable.
In the next step, the Huangjueping community will take this event as an opportunity to actively carry out more activities with traditional cultural characteristics, so that the young people in the jurisdiction can better inherit and promote the intangible cultural heritage of the Chinese nation in the dual experience of joy and learning.
