The kitchen is the most important of all rooms and the one that needs the most design.
But when decorating at home, many people will leave such an important design work to the cabinet manufacturer, completely ignore it, and "can't understand" the drawings, and "don't feel", so they sign off on the start of work hastily.
In fact, the kitchen design is very simple, it is nothing more than knowing how many sizes and putting a few large pieces down. After reading this article, you will understand how the kitchen should be designed.
At that time, come up with a kitchen plan of your own design and give them advice against the drawings of the cabinet company. You may also be surprised to find that I am more professional and thoughtful than those "professional designers".
The kitchen design is simple, it only has three very important things to put in place.
We call them: the three major pieces of the kitchen. They are the sink for washing dishes, the stove for stir-frying, and the refrigerator. Put the three of them in the kitchen area reasonably, and the kitchen is more than half complete. The stove and sink are quite simple, just think of them as two squares with a base of 90cm and 60cm. The refrigerator does not necessarily have to be placed in the kitchen, and you can also consider placing the refrigerator outside the kitchen not far from the kitchen to save every inch of kitchen area.
The stove, sink and refrigerator are the top three priorities in the kitchen design, and everything else has to be given way to it. Follow these seven principles and place all three of them in your kitchen like building blocks.
1.The sink is placed near the window, and the vegetables and dishes are well lit.
2.There should be a 30 cm distance next to the sink for the drain rack (washed dishes and bowls).
3.Between the stove and the sink, there should be a 70cm and 140cm length of the preparation and cutting table.
Why does the cutting area need to be less than 140cm in length? Because if it is too long, it is inconvenient to run back and forth between the sink and the stove for too long distance.
4.The stove is at least 20cm away from the wall or refrigerator to serve vegetables.
The 20cm distance from the wall is not only convenient for serving vegetables, but also leaves room for stir-frying in a large pot. Bottles and jars of oils and seasonings can also be placed on the 20cm next to the stove.
5.For a large kitchen, you can consider making a kitchen island in the middle, and the usual practice is: place the sink on the kitchen island.
Kitchen island height 95cm: 10cm higher than normal kitchen countertops. A higher sink allows you to wash vegetables without bending over. At the same time, 95cm is just the right height for the bar.
6.Don't forget the space you need when the fridge is opened.
The refrigerator itself is already a giant, and 0 must be reserved in front of the refrigerator5m2 1m2 or so space for opening the refrigerator door.
So, if your home is a small kitchen, try to move the refrigerator out of the kitchen.
7.Finally, a few key kitchen dimensions to keep in mind:
The worktop is typically 60 cm deep. However, if the kitchen is too small, it can also be made into other special sizes such as 50cm in order to meet the needs of a 1m aisle.
Height of cabinets and rails:
The height of the 85cm countertop is calculated based on the average height of a Chinese housewife (160cm). If you have special needs, you can ask the cabinet manufacturer according to your height, and the formula (in cm) is: the height of the bottom counter = height 2 + 5.
