Recently, the forum on "Intelligent Technology Drives Innovation and Reform of Educational Practice" was held at the Zhuhai Campus of Beijing Normal University. More than 120 experts and scholars from scientific research institutions, basic education, enterprises and institutions across the country, as well as university master's and doctoral students, attended the forum.

At the meeting, Professor Hu Weiping, a well-known scholar and director of the Key Laboratory of Modern Teaching Technology of the Ministry of Education of Shaanxi Normal University, gave a keynote report on "Thinking Teaching Theory Leads to "Technology-Enabled Teaching", expounding the current challenges faced by the cultivation of innovation ability in basic education, the creative nature and connotation of generative artificial intelligence, and the current situation of technology-enabled teaching.

The convener of the forum, Professor Dong Yan, deputy dean of the School of Educational Technology of Beijing Normal University, told reporters that Professor Hu's views directly hit the current dilemma of educational technology change and application, and it is also a prominent problem that needs more scholars and industry people to work together to solve.

In this regard, Professor Li Yan, deputy dean of the School of Education at Zhejiang University, believes that the transformation of educational technology, especially the application of generative AI in education, has become a development trend, but the improper application of AI technology may aggravate "poor teaching" and aggravate discrimination and prejudice. It is necessary to participate in the wisdom of the competent authorities and relevant participants, formulate relevant policies, and avoid corresponding risks.

Xu Huifu, editor-in-chief of the journal Open Education Research, called on experts and scholars to pay attention to the multifaceted impact of generative AI on education.

Wang Yan, editor of the journal Modern Distance Education Research, suggested that researchers should conduct research on the construction of an educational power, generative artificial intelligence education, digital literacy and skill development, etc., so as to provide guidance for the formulation and practice of education policy.

At the seminar, experts were generally optimistic about the application of artificial intelligence in the field of education. Professor Xiao Qiqing, Vice President of Zhaoqing University, believes that education and technological progress should not only be synchronized, but also actively integrated. Educational technology should improve access to education for disadvantaged groups, focus on skills training, and focus on pre-school education.

Professor Sun Bo, vice provost of the Zhuhai campus of Beijing Normal University and deputy dean of the School of Future Education, told reporters that the continuous innovation and application of educational technology in the future needs to cultivate more innovative teachers, so that students and teachers can more deeply feel the changes brought by artificial intelligence and big data technology to education. Zhao Xia of the Teacher Development Center of Tianhe District, Guangzhou, said that the current non-perceptual data collection and intelligent correction in the field of educational technology, classroom learning statistics, and student desktop live broadcast have been applied in many primary and secondary schools in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other regions. Future teachers must take the initiative to adapt to the opportunities and challenges brought by artificial intelligence to education, and take the initiative to embrace digital education and intelligent education. The application of educational technology ultimately drives the cultivation of students' innovation ability, and artificial intelligence can promote educational innovation. Zheng Yafeng, a distinguished researcher at the Institute for Advanced Study of Humanities and Social Sciences at Beijing Normal University, told reporters. Professor Zhong Baichang of the School of Educational Information of South China Normal University agreed with this point of view, and shared the methods and existing problems of interdisciplinary innovation ability cultivation with the theme of project is learning, and called on educators to truly cultivate an educational innovation practice model oriented to the needs of 4C innovation ability.

As for the application of project-based teaching, there are in-depth practices and explorations in universities, open university systems, and primary and secondary schools in different regions of China. Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and Beijing Normal University have jointly carried out practical exploration in the school for many years. Researcher Liao Chunhua, deputy director of the academic affairs office of the university, introduced that more than 20 teachers from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics participated in the forum, sharing the school's exploration of project-based teaching and discipline integration in the context of new finance and economics, which provided reference for other universities.

At the meeting, Professor Wang Jiangen of Guangdong Open University shared their achievements in education and teaching practice based on project-based breakthroughs. Chen Shangbao, Vice President of Shenzhen Yantian Institute of Education and Sciences, introduced the transformation path of the Institute of Education and Science in organizing schools from preschool education to basic education to carry out project-based learning, and thought about how to explore a new form of regional education from the in-depth reform of learning and teaching methods. Wang Shuhong, principal of Shenzhen Yantian Shanhai School, focused on the specific content of "Exploration of Interdisciplinary Teaching Practice Pointing to Children's Complete Life". Zeng Huan, principal of Shenzhen Yantian Lequn Experimental Primary School, shared the school's evidence-based classroom practice based on AI analysis from four aspects: the application of artificial intelligence in education, technology implementation, practical cases, and future development. Wen Leiying, vice principal of Hehua Middle School in Jiangmen, Guangdong, and Wu Fengzhi of Chengdu Liewu Middle School respectively introduced the practice of project-based learning and thinking cultivation in the school's subject education. Hu Meiru, Xihu District Education Development Research Institute, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, introduced the exploration of interdisciplinary project-based learning design of English units, and she advocated the path of learning activities such as understanding, practice, transfer, and innovation in real situations to construct knowledge, theme meaning, and solve real problems, so as to guide students to reflect on the learning process and output, and improve English subject literacy.
