As a parent, it is our responsibility to read for the sake of our children!

As a father of two, I have always felt that it should be my responsibility to let my children develop the habit of reading. Because when I was a child, my dad was a very fond reader, and there were no electronic products back then, and I basically spent the whole summer on the bookshelf at home that was much taller than me!

Although I watched all the story clubs, youth digests and so on.

After I went to high school and college, I basically stopped reading. That is, in recent years, especially after trading, I have read more and more books! I also understand more and more that reading is actually very useful, not only for utilitarian purposes, such as learning to trade and other reference books, but also for life and thinking.

Because a person's life is to solve the three problems of how to do things, how to be a person, and how to be yourself, such as how to make money is how to do things, interpersonal relationships are how to be people, and self-worth recognition and pursuit is how to be yourself.

And when faced with these problems, we will definitely encounter a lot of confusion, which makes us fall into it and can't extricate ourselves!

But in fact, 99% of the problems we encounter have been encountered by other people, and they have already solved them, and some have even written them down, so that we can even find standard answers to these problems in books! We just need to be patient and go through it.

As the children grow up, I understand that the premise of cultivating children's reading habits is to have enough books at home, and we must spend enough time readingParents know how to read and learn, and children will know to read and learn!

For today's children, I think it's not that they read too little, but that they read too much, and they read day and night from a very young age, until they graduate from college, they read too much, and they really see too little of the world. No matter how much theoretical knowledge you have, without concrete practice, it's just a waste of time!

We come to this world, not to read, we are here to experience this world, not the world in the book, we are here to listen to the wind in nature, not the wind in the text, the purpose of reading the world is to understand the world, otherwise it will become useless to be a scholar.

It is impossible to truly understand theory without theory without practice.

This can also explain the reason why we generally don't like reading in college, because we don't encounter so many difficulties, and naturally we don't need to find solutions to them. And after graduation, especially in work and family life, there will always be problems to solve, which makes our reading more meaningful.

In fact, after graduation, it is the time when we really need to read!

Because when we were on campus, no matter how many classics we read, we couldn't resonate with them at all!

For example, the poem "Returning to the Hometown Puppet Book", we have memorized it since we were children, but we can't understand the meaning at all.

And when we grew up and worked in a big city, we occasionally went back to our hometown, and found that the old people in our memories had passed away, and the neighbors in our memories who were thirty or forty years old were already full of gray hair, and we had to ask my father what his name was, so that he could know who I was. You know, if it was before, even if it was a dog on the road, I knew whose house it was. But now, the children I met on the road all looked at me with curious eyes, feeling that I was a foreigner, in fact, I also grew up in this village. At this time, I suddenly remembered that "children don't know each other, and they ask where the guests come from"!

Yu Hua said a paragraph, I think it makes a lot of sense!

Reading, reading whatever you want to read, if in the process of reading, you judge something, or feel something, then for you, it is a good book. If you don't have both, then let it go, because you don't have feelings, you don't judge, either the book isn't good enough, or it's a good book, but you don't meet it, and you read it in vain. It's like when I read Lu Xun when I was a child, I couldn't read it, and then when I was 35 years old, I reread Lu Xun and realized how great he was, that is, Lu Xun and I were destined to meet at the age of 35, not at the age of 10. ”

So, in essence, reading is not something you have to do, but something you want to do!
