Recently, there are three pocket parks in Jimei District, namely Kangcheng Lelin Park in Xingbin Street, Fengming Experimental Primary School Corner Pocket Park, and Lehai Kindergarten (Meishan Branch) North Pocket Park, with a total construction area of more than 6,000 square meters, creating "poetry and distance" at the doorstep of residents.
Kangcheng Lelin Park is located at the intersection of Jinyuan South Road and Jinyuan West Road, Kangcheng South District, Jimei University, with an area of 2,365 square meters. Before the renovation, the area was an empty space after illegal construction and demolition, which was often occupied by surrounding residents for parking, which not only affected the environment, but also had potential safety hazards. According to the living environment of the surrounding community, the upgrading and renovation plan is designed according to local conditions, the central square, tree pond, landscape wall, etc., and the supporting facilities such as leisure seats, fitness equipment, and soundproof panels are added, so as to sort out the beautiful and comfortable leisure space under the forest, attracting many residents to come for leisure and fitness.
Fengming Experimental Primary School Corner Pocket Park is located in the Weng Wangshan Road section outside the wall of Fengming Experimental Primary School in Guankou Town, adjacent to Guankou Wanda, covering an area of about 1,500 square meters. Before the renovation, the plot was a corner lot next to the school, with soil accumulation and insufficient green area. Relying on the characteristics of the campus environment, the upgrading and renovation has improved and renovated the area outside the school wall through measures such as wall demolition, ground cleaning, increasing leisure areas, and supplementing green areas, building sidewalks, flower ponds, and bench leisure areas with an area of about 900 square meters, increasing the green planting area by about 600 square meters, and further improving the surrounding environment of the campus.
The pocket park on the north side of Lehai Kindergarten (Meishan Branch) is located on the south side of the first phase of China Merchants Haide Mansion and the north side of Lehai Kindergarten (Meishan Branch), covering an area of about 2,400 square meters. Before remediation, the area was an overgrown wasteland. In order to promote the spatial function of the kindergarten and the surrounding living quarters, the landscaping company of Jimei Municipal Group combined with the surrounding resources to formulate a renovation plan, build a colorful slow walking trail, add leisure seats, fitness facilities, landscape sketches, etc., plant trees, small trees, shrub balls, and ground cover planted with vegetation such as goosefoot firewood, cuiluli, kidney fern and Manila grass, increasing the green area by about 1,600 square meters. The renovated pocket park allows residents to "push the window to see the green, go out and enter the park", and enjoy the green benefits at their doorstep.
