The new flow sensor KEC works on the basis of the calorimetry measuring principle. Therefore, there is no need for temperature compensation and pressure compensation. Due to its sturdy design, aluminum die-cast housing, in stainless steel 1Rugged sensors made of 4571, the new KEC is suitable for demanding industrial applications. In contrast to the previous SED bridge, the newly developed computing electronics record all measured values digitally.
This allows very precise and fast measurements in the temperature range up to 180°C. The measurement span is 1....1000, so it is possible to measure flow rates as well as up to 224 ms. KEC has an integrated modbus output, which converts all parameters including NM H, NM, NL MIN, NL S, N S, KG H, KG MIN, FT MIN, C, etc. All parameters can be adjusted directly on the instrument (via display) or via the service software.
Of course, it also offers two 4 - 20 mA analog outputs for measuring flow rate and temperature, as well as a galvanically isolated pulse output for measuring total consumption. Remote diagnostics can be carried out via Modbus, and relevant parameters can be checked and changed if necessary. Therefore, for example, the type of gas, the inner diameter, the scale, the zero point and the amount of leakage suppressed when the process conditions change, etc., can be changed. With remote diagnostics and status updates, it is possible to determine the date of failure or calibration of the sensor.
