A year-on-year increase of 949%

There has been a significant increase in short-haul passenger flows

According to the person in charge of the passenger transport department of Guangzhou Railway Group, this year ushered in the longest Spring Festival holiday, according to the analysis of the pre-sale of railway 12306 tickets, the passenger flow in Guangdong during the Spring Festival will be relatively lower than before the holiday, and the passenger flow will be dominated by short-distance intercity family visits and tourist flows, mainly concentrated in Guangzhou-Shenzhen, Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity, Guangzhou-Shantou and Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail lines. Guangzhou Railway Group expects that from the first day of the Lunar New Year to the fourth day of the Lunar New Year (February 10 to 13), the short-distance passenger flow in the province will still be the mainstay, and the passenger flow will remain relatively stable.

In order to meet the demand for short-distance passenger travel and ensure the smooth travel of passengers during the Spring Festival, on February 10, Guangzhou Railway Group plans to run 2,505 trains and 30 additional trains, mainly from Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Chaoshan, Meizhou, Zhanjiang, Changsha and other regions.

The railway department advocates that passengers are requested to use the standby function of the 12306 system according to their own ticket purchase needs, which is conducive to the railway department to timely and accurately carry out capacity delivery according to the direction of popular demand to meet the travel needs of passengers.

During the Spring Festival, taking the train to visit relatives and friends is indispensable to carry special gifts. At Guangzhou South, Guangzhou Baiyun, Shenzhen North and Changsha South Passenger Stations, self-service delivery cabinets for passengers are set up outside the security check area to facilitate passengers to send personal belongings, local products purchased in the station and items that are inconvenient to carry on the train.

Nowadays, when everyone goes out, what they are most afraid of is that the battery of the mobile phone is urgent. In order to meet the charging needs of passengers, 22 free charging stations have been set up at Guangzhou South, Guangzhou, Guangzhou East, Shenzhen North and other stations, each charging station can meet the emergency charging needs of up to 8 passengers for computers, mobile phones and other commonly used electronic products; Guangzhou Baiyun Station has opened 24 petal lampposts and provided 48 charging ports for passengers.

During the Spring Festival, Guangzhou Baiyun Station provides free ginger tea for passengers around the clock at the waiting room service point, and a medical staff stationed office area is set up at the southeast corner of the station, and the convenience store in the station provides passengers with emergency supplies such as baby fever patches and diapers. The Guangzhou-Kowloon Passenger Depot has launched "one car, one main dish, one car, one brand" on ordinary speed trains, and the number of dishes has increased from 24 to 32 to meet the needs of passengers at different levels. During the Spring Festival, the general express dining car set up "love seats" to provide convenience for key passengers such as the elderly, children, sick, disabled, and pregnant.

The railway department warmly reminds that passengers who travel on holidays carry more items, so please mark them before traveling to avoid mistakes; Pay attention to the safety of your carry-on items, and carry valuables with you; The items on the luggage rack should be placed smoothly and firmly to prevent the train from shaking and falling and injuring passengers; Check under the seat or bunk when you get off the bus to see if anything is missing.
