The headquarters of Indian architect firm Atrey & Associates, located in the upscale residential area of New Delhi, is of course designed from its interior, and is regarded as a birthplace of creativity and a basket of design and innovation.
Inspired by trees, thanks to the intricate shapes of their trunks through branch-like arrangements.
The structure of the studio is transformed from the form of a tree, showing the essence of a tree.
The structure is designed to resemble a tree slanted by the wind, and its posture is tilted. The pillars are like the trunk of a large tree, supporting the protruding floor slab, like a tree branch. The outer shell of the canopy envelops the entire building. The green concrete structure adds a soft touch.
The exterior form creates a sense of magic both outdoors and indoors, with views limited by balconies or courtyards, and breathing green walls on each floor covered with air-purifying plants. The courtyard on each floor is a refreshing resting space. The largest glass opening on the east side brings in the greatest amount of daylight. There are green courtyards on each floor on the south side.
Each floor slab is equipped with a potential cooling system, which is cooled in summer and heated in winter, ensuring maximum environmental comfort. Solar panels are installed on the roof, and rainwater harvesting is also implemented. The breathing green walls on each floor cover the largest area of the wall and are filled with plants that purify the air.
Each floor is a blend of creativity and design, with the third floor offering a unique virtual display space and an exclusive area for the Chief Architect. The design embodies the harmonious coexistence of architecture and nature, and the details reveal a thoughtful consideration for creativity and practicality. The walls and roof are decorated with bamboo, which is visually beautiful and creates an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. A uniquely designed circular skylight creates a dramatic effect on the space and allows natural light to flood the space, creating a vibrant working environment.
