On February 5, the 2024 "Dream Wumeng" Winter Camp Activity (hereinafter referred to as the Winter Camp Activity) of Tenglong Community in Hezhang County, jointly carried out by the Hezhang County Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Liuquhe Town Sub-district Office, the Youth League Working Committee of Liuquhe Town, the Tenglong Community Residents Committee of Liuquhe Town, and the "Dream Wumeng" Teaching Team (hereinafter referred to as the Teaching Team) of Chunhui Society, a student of Shandong University, was successfully held in the classroom of the "Four and a Half Classroom" of Tenglong Community.
The event is divided into three parts: the "Childlike + Art" theme exhibition, the art show and award ceremony, and the farewell ceremony between the teaching team and the children.
Work together to protect children's dreams and go to the future together
From February 4th to 5th, the handicraft and painting exhibition with the theme of "childlike heart + art" was held in the classroom of the "four-and-a-half classroom" in Tenglong Community, Hezhang County, which aimed to stimulate children's interests and promote excellent traditional Chinese crafts.
Entering the door of the classroom, the first thing that catches your eye is the Chinese paper-cut art hanging high above the classroom: a string of "Fu" characters, a Chinese knot and two big "Chun" characters. "My original intention of teaching the children paper-cutting is to hope that they can love traditional Chinese art and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture. Yue Fang, a volunteer teacher who teaches Chinese paper-cutting and a 2023 master's student at Shandong University, said to the people who visited the theme exhibition.
As you gaze downward, visitors are greeted by a staggered array of paintings posted on the sides of the classroom: Chinese dragons, lanterns, and lifelike figures and landscapes. "The reason why I teach children to draw Chinese dragons and lanterns is because the Spring Festival is approaching, and the lunar calendar 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, so I hope that the children's lives will be as full of vitality and passion as the dancing dragons, and grow up healthily. The reason for teaching them to draw figure paintings and landscape paintings is to hope that they can learn more about painting skills and feel the charm of painting. Zhu Xiaokun, a volunteer teacher who teaches painting and a 2023 undergraduate student at Shandong University, told the audience.
Walking into the classroom, I saw origami carefully arranged on the table: a thousand paper cranes and lanterns. "After deciding to teach origami to the children, I planned to combine the content of the teaching with the upcoming Chinese New Year, so I decided to teach the children to fold lanterns as a way to express New Year's greetings to the children. And teach them to fold a thousand paper cranes because each thousand paper cranes can carry a little wish, and eventually become a wish. I want my children to be able to fulfill their wishes and dreams. Chen Junfeng, a volunteer teacher who teaches origami and a 2021 undergraduate student of Shandong University, said to the visitors.
As an important part of the 2024 "Dream Building Wumeng" Winter Camp in Tenglong Community, Hezhang County, the "Childlike + Art" theme exhibition is not only conducive to stimulating children's interest in learning, but also promoting China's excellent traditional culture and enriching the after-school life of children in the relocation sites for poverty alleviation and resettlement.
Dedication to shining youth, art cleanses the soul
Mountains and rivers meet, and the future can be expected. The 10-day volunteer teaching journey came to an end, and with the careful preparation of teachers and students, on the morning of February 5, the 2024 Winter Camp Art Show and Award Ceremony (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) of Tenglong Community in Hezhang County was held in the classroom of the "Four and a Half Classroom" of Tenglong Community. Li Daqin, director of Tenglong Community, Liuquhe Town, Lei Yuanshun, captain of the teaching team, parents of students, students who participated in the activity and all the teachers participated in the activity.
In the cold spring season, we met in the Hezhang Tenglong community. As the moderator announced the start of the meeting, the event gradually kicked off.
At the beginning of the meeting, Li Daqin, director of Tenglong Community in Hezhang County, delivered a speech. First of all, she expressed her gratitude to all the team members for their hard work; Secondly, she encouraged the children to learn and carry forward the volunteer spirit of dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress of the volunteer teachers, study hard, and one day help more children learn and broaden their horizons like the volunteer teachers. Finally, she expressed her best wishes to the members of the teaching team, wishing all the members of the teaching team a smooth return home, successful studies and everything going well in the new year.
Then, Lei Yuanshun, the captain of the teaching team, spoke. He summarized and introduced the winter camp activities from the aspects of the number of participants, courses offered, and the effect of the activities. He said that every achievement is inseparable from the organization of the Chunhui Club of Shandong University, the support of all parties in Hezhang County, and the dedication of all the teaching team members. Subsequently, Wu Changbin, a student representative, made a speech. He said that during the 10-day event, they had an unforgettable time with their older siblings from Shandong University, attending classes and playing together. The opening of special courses such as interest classes, tutorial classes, and physical education classes allows them to wander in the ocean of knowledge, work together to solve problems, explore the wider world, and meet a better self. At the same time, he also expressed his gratitude and reluctance to the teachers, who will always remember this time, remember the teachings of the teachers, and strive to grow into the pillars of the country.
Secondly, it is the art show of this event. Friendship and joy bloom like flowers, laughter and singing are intertwined into a beautiful picture, and the wonderful programs on the art show are exactly what the teachers and children want to use different forms to keep this wonderful time. With beautiful melodies and rhythmic dancing, five students from the junior group, Xiao Xianghui, Xiao Jiyang, Wu Changjie, Wang Yuxuan, and Wang Kai, brought the program "Subject 3" to the audience to applaud; "Let me look at you again, from south to north. Xiao Lunfei and Huang Jingmiao, two students from the senior group, brought a chorus to sing "Anhe Bridge", telling beautiful folk stories in a deep singing voice; Yang Juan and Liu Mengting, two students from the lower grade group, brought a chorus of "What I am looking forward to is not snow", beautiful singing, what the children are looking forward to is not snow, but the encounter with teachers and partners in winter;
Huang Lin, a student from the senior group, brought a tea art performance, and the rich tea fragrance lingered, allowing the audience to feel the beauty of the Chinese nation's broad and profound tea culture; "Two Tigers" is a precious memory of college students' childhood, and the three-person chorus of Chen Yunhan, Huang Rong and Wu Changjie in the junior group is unforgettable.
Walking into the morning fog and falling into the twilight clouds, Wu Changbin, a student from the senior group, brought a solo song "In the Fog", which made people feel the thoroughness under the fog; Xiao Xianghui, Xiao Jiyang, Wang Kai, Chen Weihao, Wu Changjie, Wu Changjun and the volunteer teacher Chen Junfeng brought the chorus "The Lonely Brave", which made the atmosphere of the audience high, and it was a wish for everyone to move forward bravely on the road ahead.
The five-star red flag sparkled with stars, and the junior class teachers Yao Qian and Chen Junfeng sang the "Song of the Chinese Youth Pioneers" with the students of the junior group, inspiring every child to be a communist leader with firm patriotic beliefs;
Youth, youth and the future are synonymous with the most beautiful, and all the students of the senior group brought poems to recite "Youth Youth Future", so that the audience can feel the vitality of youth, "go forward and don't look behind, turn your back on the darkness and go to the light", every word is the oath of teenagers, and it is also the interweaving of youth and the future. The colorful program, where the children confidently showed their versatile side on stage, left unforgettable memories for the audience.
Again, it's the award ceremony. Volunteer teachers Lei Yuanshun, Zhao Linghu, Yue Fang, Zhu Xiaokun, Yang Ting, Zhu Chengyu, Zhang Ping, class teachers Yao Qian, Chen Junfeng, Zhang Ping were respectively in the winter camp activities of the learning star, wisdom star, friendship star, athletes, discipline pacesetter, progress star, talent star, outstanding campers awards, Liuquhe Town Tenglong community director Li Daqin for outstanding volunteers, the award ceremony ended in everyone's applause. The wind comes naturally, the flowers bloom naturally, and it is a kind of happiness to be able to become a teacher for children. On the occasion of parting, all the volunteer teachers brought the chorus "Tomorrow Will Be Better" to convey their wishes for a better future. At the end of the chorus, the volunteer teacher used the sentence "Goodbye children!" At the end, I expressed my reluctance to give up on the children, and the good memories of the volunteer teaching will always be cherished in the hearts of the volunteer teachers.
At the end of the meeting, all the participants took a group photo in front of the office of the community neighborhood committee, and the art show and award ceremony ended successfully in warm applause!

After the meeting, the farewell ceremonies of the children and volunteer teachers of the upper and lower grades were held in the Tenglong Community Conference Room and the classroom of the "Four-and-a-half Classroom" in Hezhang County. The farewell ceremony of the lower grades was presided over by the class teachers Yao Qian and Chen Junfeng, and the farewell ceremony of the upper grades was presided over by the head teacher Zhang Ping.
At the meeting, the homeroom teacher first summarized and affirmed the children's performance during the winter camp and expressed their gratitude to the students for their support, and then awarded the students points and prizes. Afterwards, the volunteer teachers walked into the two classes in turn, expressed their blessings to the children, sent gifts and letters prepared in advance, and took photos with the children one by one.
At the end of the parting, the children used the award certificate as a signature plaque, and asked the volunteer teachers to sign, draw and write blessings on it one by one as a commemoration to express their love and reluctance to the teachers.
In the 2024 "Dream Building Wumeng" winter camp activity of Tenglong Community in Hezhang County, the teaching team was successfully selected as the 2024 National College Student Science and Technology Volunteer Service Demonstration Team, relying on the Tenglong Community "Four and a Half Classroom", "Partner Program" and other projects, a 10-day volunteer teaching activity was carried out for the children in the community, including homework guidance and learning method guidance in basic classrooms such as language and mathematics, and the cultivation of hobbies such as tea culture, Tang poetry appreciation, Chinese paper-cutting, painting, origami, sports, first aid knowledge, Dental health and other health, science and technology knowledge popularization, Lei Feng spirit, patriotic spirit and other red culture education. With the departure of the car of the volunteer teachers returning to their hometowns, this winter camp activity came to a successful conclusion. Even though the volunteer teachers and the children who participated in the activity were full of reluctance, they would bravely drive to the next stop and into the future with their concern and blessings for each other.
