On February 7, Jin Zhuanglong, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, met with the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Doreen and his delegation in Beijing to have in-depth exchanges on topics such as promoting the sustainable development of space frequency and orbit resources, deepening global cooperation in information and communication technology innovation, and supporting the development of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. Zhang Yunming, vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the meeting.

Jin Zhuanglong said that China has actively promoted the high-quality development of the information and communication industry, with increasingly improved network infrastructure, continuous improvement of technological innovation capabilities, and vigorous development of digital convergence applications, which has strongly supported the digital transformation of the economy and society. China attaches great importance to the role of the International Telecommunication Union, actively supports the work of the International Telecommunication Union, and stands ready to work with the International Telecommunication Union and other member states to deepen cooperation in areas such as universal connectivity and digital transformation, and promote the realization of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

Doreen thanked China** for its long-term strong support to the International Telecommunication Union, and expressed her willingness to actively promote cooperation between the two sides in the fields of radio spectrum and satellite orbit resources, telecommunication standardization, and information and communication technology innovation and development.
