The legacy of Dongpo has been passed down to the world, and the style of the eight families shines according to the ancient and modern. January 29, the nineteenth day of the lunar calendar, is the 987th anniversary of Su Dongpo's birth. As the hometown of Dongpo, Meishan also ushered in a cultural event - "Tang and Song Dynasty Eight Families Meishan Come to Gather" Su Dongpo's 987th Birthday Su Meeting and Tang and Song Dynasty Eight Families Memorial Site (Hall) Alliance Establishment Ceremony was held ceremoniously.

Since the Song Dynasty, Meishan Sansu Temple has retained the tradition of "Shousu" and held "Shousu Meeting", which has a history of more than 900 years. This year's "Shousu Meeting" is not only a remembrance and tribute to cultural giants, but also a feast of Meishan's characteristic culture.

Across time and space, the "stars" converge on the eastern slope.

The "Eight Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties" is the most prestigious literary symbol in the history of ancient prose in China, and the Meishan Sansu Temple Museum specially invited the Chaozhou Hanwen Ancestral Hall, Liuzhou Liuhou Temple, Yongzhou Liu Zongyuan Memorial Hall, Chuzhou Ouyang Xiu Memorial Hall, Nanfeng Zeng Gong Memorial Hall, Fuzhou Wang Anshi Memorial Hall, and established the "Tang and Song Dynasty Eight Masters Memorial Site (Museum) Alliance" to jointly inherit and carry forward the contemporary value of China's excellent traditional culture.

This year's 'Shousu Meeting', the Sansu Temple has made great efforts to invite the 'Tang and Song Dynasty Eight Families' to gather in Meishan to establish an alliance, I am moved by the Sansu Temple to carefully prepare for this grand event, and I am proud to be one of the participants in the establishment of the alliance. Rao Yuanlan, deputy director of the Fuzhou Wang Anshi Memorial Hall, said.

Looking back at the long river of history, the demeanor of the three Soviet unions and the character of the eight great families not only last for a long time, but also have a strong resonance with the hearts of contemporary Chinese people. In October 2023, the Sansu Temple Museum launched the "Cultural Theme Journey of the Eight Great Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties", and after a two-month cultural journey, it visited the commemorative holy places closely related to the other five masters.

At the Ouyang Xiu Memorial Hall in Chuzhou, Anhui Province, the visiting group saw the legendary "Langya Mountain" and "Drunken Weng Pavilion" in junior high school Chinese textbooks and the "Drunken Man Pavilion" written by Su Shi; At the Wang Anshi Memorial Hall in Fuzhou, Jiangxi, the delegation had a deep understanding of how Su Shi and Wang Anshi became confidants from temple political enemies; In Liuhou Temple, Liuzhou City, Guangxi, the visiting group saw the "Luochi Temple Tablet", which integrates Han Yu's text, Liu Zongyuan's deeds, and Su Shi's calligraphy, and is known as the "Three Unique Monuments"; At the Han Wen Ancestral Hall in Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province, the visiting group perceived the ups and downs of Han Yu's life and understood the origin of Su Shi and Han Yu; At the Zeng Gong Memorial Hall in Nanfeng County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, the visiting group learned about Zeng Gong's classic stories of being a person, a writer, a worker, and an official, as well as the ...... of Su Shi and Zeng Gong's "friendship between the same door and the same list".Sincerely, the gold and stone are open, and the visit trip bears fruit at the "Shousu Meeting".

With the deepening of the study of the Three Sus, I feel more and more that the study of Dongpo and the 'Three Sus' should return to his era and do research in the whole of the 'Tang and Song Eight Masters', so this year we invite the heads of the Tang and Song Eight Masters Memorial Site (Museum) to gather in Meishan to establish an alliance, which is to integrate resources and jointly carry forward the banner of Chinese excellent traditional culture. Chen Zhongwen, director of the Meishan Sansu Temple Museum, said.

Culture benefits the people and the participation of the whole people is more "down-to-earth".

Today's Meishan, because of the "Shousu Meeting", brought together cultural lovers and "Su fans" from all over the world, and witnessed the historic meeting of the "Eight Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties".

In the form of "Baba Banquet", the audience was invited to participate in the "Mr. Question" and interactive links. At the scene, the performers incarnated as "Tang and Song Dynasty Eight Masters" to ask questions to the audience, and if they answer the questions correctly, they can get a beautiful cultural and creative gift package. Many Meishan enterprises also donated gifts to express the respect of the people of their hometown for the sages, reflecting the nourishment of Sansu culture and Dongpo culture to their hometown.

On the other side of the stage, Liang Bin, a national second-class actor and inheritor of ancient poems, and Deng Jing, an associate professor of Yibin College and also an inheritor, joined hands to perform the theme song of "The Legend of the Grandmaster: The Eight Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties", with melodious singing and long ancient rhyme. The song and dance "Can't Bear to Return" created by the local talents and beauties of Meishan expresses the endless love and affection of the people in his hometown for Mr. Dongpo.

Meishan Sansu Temple also carefully prepared the "Tang and Song Dynasty Eight Masters" special poetry competition, so that the masses can feel the beauty of poetry at the same time, but also win exquisite Sansu Temple cultural and creative products. This cultural feast not only enriched the spiritual life of the masses, but also made the image of the "Eight Great Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties" deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

On the occasion of the Spring Festival, the Sansu Temple combined the "Shousu Meeting" with various New Year activities to benefit the people, bringing a cultural experience full of "New Year's flavor" to the masses. Traditional customs such as pasting Spring Festival couplets and extending the word "Fu" have been newly interpreted here. The calligraphy teachers splashed ink and sent New Year's blessings to the citizens and tourists; And the hand-made word "Fu" means that the new year is full of blessings and good luck.
