Enshi Prefecture will conscientiously implement the work requirements of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, focus on expanding effective investment, stimulate potential consumption, and let the two wheels turn together, so as to promote the state's economy to achieve effective qualitative improvement and reasonable quantitative growth.
The report proposes that in 2024, the province will carry out in-depth breakthrough activities for major projects and vigorously promote the "ten hundred thousand" project. Enshi Prefecture will take this opportunity to adhere to the principle of opening if it can be opened, and if it can be fast, it will speed up the construction progress of major projects such as the Yaojiaping Water Conservancy Project and Lixian, Hefengdong and Jian'en North Expressway, and promote the relocation of Enshi Airport, the Yichang-Fuling section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Rong high-speed railway, and the Shanghai-Rong-Shanghai-Chongqing connection section of the Bazhang Expressway to start construction as soon as possible, so as to ensure that more than 560 state-level key projects of more than 100 million yuan will be started this year, with an annual investment of more than 50 billion yuan, and a fixed asset growth of more than 10%, so as to effectively build a solid support for stable growth.
Consumption has become the basic driving force for economic growth, and more and more places are fighting for the background, color, appearance, and service to attract domestic and foreign consumption.
Every year, more than 1 million tourists come to Enshi for a summer vacation of more than 10 days, and last year, the state received a total of 85.9 million tourists, achieving a comprehensive tourism income of 62.6 billion yuan. Tourism has also led to a strong recovery in consumption, with the state's total retail sales of consumer goods reaching 7692.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%, ranking first in the province.
We will fully demonstrate the five characteristics of "soil, selenium, tea, cool and green", accelerate the construction of world-class tourist destinations, strive to create a number of high-quality scenic spots, exquisite routes, cultivate a number of characteristic commercial streets, fully release the consumption potential, so that more tourists can come and return satisfied.
