Is learning really painful for children?

If we take it for granted, we are likely to come to the conclusion that "if you want to learn well, you have to suffer." After all, there are famous sayings and sayings there, such as: There is a diligent path in the book mountain, and there is no end to the hard work of learning the sea. No pain, no gain. We have been instilled with too many such ideas since childhood, and it is easy to think that learning is more or less related to pain, and the main reason why children do not like to learn is that they "can't endure hardship" or have no perseverance and are not serious about learning.

Only by enduring hardships can you learn well! Once this conclusion is reached, parents may find themselves in a "war without a winner", and also make children subconsciously feel that learning is painful! No one likes painful things, so a child who comes to such a conclusion won't really love learning either!

To enhance the child's interest in learning, you can start from something he is obsessed with, when the child enters school, some parents in order to let the child concentrate on learning, put an end to sharing many points of interest, and some even confiscate the child's electronic products, toys, etc., thinking that the child does not have these things "distracted", and can naturally concentrate on learning.

The reality is that children who are deprived of interest tend to be more depressed and distracted when doing their homework. Very little homework can take hours to complete. In fact, it is also easy to understand that life needs to be expected, for adults, and for children, there will be happiness when there is expectation, and there will be initiative when there is expectation.

A child's greatest expectation is what he is interested in, and if you deprive him of his expectation, he will be listless in everything he does.

Children who don't like to learn are mostly due to a lack of interest in learning. As parents and teachers, we should strive to help children create a warm and relaxed learning environment; Try to reduce the pressure of children's learning and let them feel the joy of learning.

If you encounter a child who is bored with school, you should analyze the reasons with him and regain his confidence in learning.

Let children take the initiative to learn and improve their interest in learning from the following five points:

1) Guide children to find fun in the process of reading and learning.

2) Guide children to use their interests and learning to find a sense of achievement.

3) Guide children to think about the value of learning.

4) Affirmation, not judgment; Only encourage, not restrict.

5) Lower your expectations of your child and help your child witness his or her progress.

Expanding children's understanding of "progress" is not only about improving grades or rankings, but also about increasing the amount of time spent reading, changing learning strategies, and becoming more emotionally stable in the face of reading and learning.

Even if a child's academic performance is not satisfactory for the time being, if he can maintain a high level of motivation and enthusiasm for learning, he will have the opportunity to become a lifelong learner, and even after completing his studies, he will be able to continue to improve himself and be ready to become a talent needed by the times.
