1. School Profile
Yangtze University is the largest comprehensive university in Hubei Province with a complete range of disciplines, one of the four high-level universities selected for the national "Education Power Promotion Project", one of the four high-level universities in Hubei Province, and a "domestic first-class university construction university" in Hubei Province.
Yangtze University was granted the right to confer master's degrees in 1986, doctoral degrees in 2006, and postdoctoral research stations in 2009. At present, there are 3 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points of "Geological Resources and Geological Engineering", "Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering" and "Crop Science" and 3 corresponding postdoctoral research stations; 37 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 22 professional master's degree authorization categories; Persons with equivalent academic ability have the right to apply for the award of master's degrees. Six disciplines, including engineering, botany and zoology, agricultural science, earth science, clinical medicine, and chemistry, are ranked in the 1% of the ESI global rankings.
2. Registration conditions
1) Those who apply for an academic master's degree with the same academic ability must meet the following conditions:
Have earned a bachelor's degreeand have worked for more than three years after obtaining a bachelor's degree (i.e., those who obtained a bachelor's degree before the end of March 2021); or those who do not have a bachelor's degree but have obtained a master's or doctoral degree; or foreign bachelor's degree (bachelor's degree obtained before the end of March 2021), master's or doctoral degree certified by the Service Center for Scholarly Study of the Ministry of Education;
2.The applicant's relevant materials in teaching, scientific research, specialized technology, management and other aspects have been submitted to our university, and it has been determined that the applicant is qualified to apply for a master's degree after review.
2) Those who apply for a master's degree in clinical medicine with the same academic ability must meet the following conditions:
1.Bachelor's degree in clinical medicine;
2.Residents who are receiving standardized training for residents or clinicians who have obtained the Certificate of Qualification for Standardized Training for Residents;
3.The type and field of professional degree applied for by the applicant should correspond to the discipline of standardized training for residents.
III. Registration Procedures
1) Pre-registration.
Pre-registration method: Applicants fill in the "Application Form for Master's Degree of Equivalent Academic Personnel of Yangtze University" (see attachment) and submit it to the contact person of the college where the subject is applied for preliminary review.
2) Online application.
Online application starts on January 17, 2024 (As a general rule, you can apply all year round, if there is any subsequent adjustment, please refer to the notice of the school).
Applicants apply on the national information platform for the management of master's degree applications for equivalent academic personnel, register as required in the interface that appears, log in to the system after successful registration, view the application process, understand the operation process, and complete the upload of electronic **, fill in the basic information (fill in truthfully), submit the degree application and other operations under the degree application column.
3) On-site confirmation.
Within the specified time, the applicant shall go to the designated place for on-site confirmation: collect images and fingerprint information, sign the "Letter of Commitment to Good Faith", submit the required materials, and accept the qualification review. If the applicant fails to confirm the on-site due to his failure to show up or incomplete materials or false materials, the applicant shall be responsible for all the consequences arising therefrom.
The following documents must be submitted for on-site confirmation:
1.The original and photocopy of the bachelor's degree certificate (candidates who have obtained a foreign bachelor's degree must submit the original degree certificate provided by the Service Center for Scholarly Study of the Ministry of Education);
2.China Higher Education Degree Verification or Authentication Report (issued by Xuexin.com);
3.Original and photocopy of bachelor's degree certificate;
4.Original and photocopy of second-generation ID card;
5.Relevant materials of the applicant's achievements in teaching, scientific research, professional technology, and management;
6.Two 2-inch paper sheets** (must be consistent with the electronic ** submitted by the information platform);

IV. Payment of Tuition Fees
Applicants who participate in the on-site confirmation and pass the qualification review can contact each college to inquire about their personal student number, and pay online on the "Yangtze University Campus Unified Payment Platform" with their student number. The tuition fee is subject to the financial announcement of the school.
The total tuition fee for the same academic ability in our school is about 30,000 yuan(Tuition fees may vary depending on the program.) The tuition fee is paid in two stages: after the student registers and passes the qualification review, the first stage of tuition is paid; Students pay the second stage of tuition after passing the national unified examination (i.e. the national unified examination for Chinese language proficiency outside the degree and the comprehensive level of the subject). Tuition fees are non-refundable once paid.
5. Course study and examination
Applicants should take courses and pass the examination according to the relevant courses set up by the corresponding talent training programs of each college to achieve the required credits.
6. National Unified Examination
Applicants must pass the national unified examination for the level of foreign Chinese and the comprehensive level of the discipline organized by the state within the prescribed time limit. Applicants complete the registration, payment, and printing of the admission ticket through the information platform. The specific arrangements are subject to the announcement issued by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Information Network.
The national unified examination for applicants for master's degree with the same academic ability includes the national unified examination for the external Chinese level and the national unified examination for the comprehensive level of disciplines. The examination is organized by the Academic Degree Office, and the examination affairs are undertaken by the provincial and municipal degree committees (or education committees), which are organized once a year, generally registered in March each year, and the examination is conducted in late May, which is subject to the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education and the relevant regulations of the school in that year.
Special reminder: The maximum study period of the applicant shall not exceed five years from the date of registration as a student of our school through the qualification examination, otherwise he will be dismissed. At the same time, the applicant must complete the courses specified in the equivalent academic training program of the applied major within four years, take the examination as required, obtain qualified results, complete the required credits, and pass the national unified examination for the foreign Chinese level of the master's degree and the national unified examination for the comprehensive level of the discipline for those with the same academic ability. Those who fail to pass the course examination and the level test organized by the state within four years will be invalid for this degree.
7. Write the degree**, defense and degree application
