Enzo's technical level far surpassed that of its predecessors, and was strongly influenced by Ferrari Formula 1. Unlike the F40 and F50, Enzo didn't use a rear spoiler (although a rear wing automatically pops out at high speeds), but instead eliminated lift with a well-designed rear diffuser and flat chassis, providing the vehicle with a huge amount of downforce at 350 km/h.
Under Enzo's carbon fibre body is a racing-derived suspension system consisting of driver-adjustable pushrod dampers and four-wheel twin unequal-length wishbones. The front and rear carbon-ceramic Brembo brake discs reduce unsprung weight and provide superior resistance to thermal decay.
At the heart of Enzo is the world's most powerful naturally aspirated engine. The Tipo F140 V-12 is a completely new design engine with double overhead camshafts per cylinder bank and four valves per cylinder for a total displacement of 5998 cubic centimeters. The dry sump allowed the engine to be mounted low in Enzo's chassis, sending power to the rear wheels via Ferrari's new automatic manual six-speed F1 gearbox. The rear-mounted gearbox is key to Enzo's amazing acceleration, with a shift speed of just 150 milliseconds, making it just 3 to 0 to 100 km/h65 seconds.
Enzo, like its predecessors, was a race car made for the road or the track. Its main interior surfaces, as well as the seat structure, are made of carbon fiber, and to save weight, it has no power windows and audio system, and its total weight is only 1480 kg, which is very low for a V-12-powered supercar.
Continuing the racing style of the interior, the interior design is an F1-style steering wheel with various control buttons and shift indicators. Enzo's production ended in 2004, with Ferrari claiming to have produced a total of 400 units, the last of which was given to Pope John Paul II.
This beautiful Enzo has all the good qualities of a Ferrari supercar, including advanced Formula 1-inspired engineering, aerodynamically perfect bodywork designed by Mercedes-Benz, and truly passionate performance, it will be a great addition to any sports collection. It is ideal for Ferrari enthusiasts, especially those who want to collect Ferrari's legendary modern "Big Five" supercars.
