"Shengwu" is a reflection of Lu Xun, created in 1919, published in New Youth, Vol. 6, No. 5 on May 15 of the same year, and later included in Lu Xun's essay collection "Hot Wind". At the same time, there are also three articles published in ""Coming", "The Present **", "The Human Heart is Very Ancient" and ** Medicine".
At the beginning of the article, Lu Xun said:
"I don't think we are a place where neoism takes place, and there is no place for it, and even if there are occasional foreign ideas, they immediately change color, and many commentators should be proud of it. ”
In Lu Xun's view, our place is not a place where any new ideas are generated, and even if there are foreign ideas, they will be assimilated quickly. If there is any thought, the only thing that has never changed since ancient times is "knife and fire". There is another way to explain "sword and fire", and that is "holy martial arts".
"The fire fled from the north to the south, the sword retreated from the front, and there was a lot of running books, and there was only this one model. ”
For a long time, under the rule of "knife and fire", the Chinese people have become slaves of "knife and fire". They either only know how to survive by hiding from "sword and fire", or they hope to obtain "blessings, children, jade silk" and so on by virtue of "sword and fire". They have no ideals, no beliefs, and their minds are filled with "purely bestial desires." Therefore, there is really no room for foreign new ideas and new doctrines.
So far, Lu Xun has revealed the essence of the Great Revolution and national character in our history. What a great revolution, after the revolution, the essence of feudal ** society did not change fundamentally. The class structure of society has not changed, and the problems of master and slave, food and being eaten, remain.
"It's no big deal. The county magistrate is still the original official, but what has he changed, and the old man has also done something, and the leader of the troops is still the previous old general. ”So, the essence of the Revolution was nothing more than the substitution of one slave owner for another. The fundamental reason why they carried out violent revolution was for the "satisfaction of their "highest ideals", that is, "the satisfaction of purely animalistic desires" such as "blessings, children, and jade silks".
Such as Liu Bang and Xiang Yu, they saw that Qin Shi Huang was very generous, one said, "The husband should be like this", and the other said, "He can take his place."
also". What Xiang Yu wants to "take" is exactly what Liu Bang said, which is "the satisfaction of pure animal desires". Those who have already realized this "highest ideal", such as Qin Shi Huang, will have to find further ways to make themselves immortal and live forever enjoying a life of "Weifu, children, and jade silk". When he knew that he could not live forever, "he made a grave to preserve the dead body."
Therefore, after the Revolution, they quickly reverted to the old system and sang the old tunes again. Determine a master, determine the monarch**, how to praise, how to pay tribute, how to bow down!
The society is still the same society, with a high degree of monopoly of power, strict hierarchies, and high-pressure rule, showing the characteristics of coercion, monopoly, closure, and exclusivity. The supreme absolute power of the warlords, whose power is not subject to any restrictions, restrictions, restraints, and supervision. There is no openness, fairness, justice, any rule of law, freedom, equality, exploitation, oppression and slavery.
When they were fighting the world, they used slogans such as "fighting the rich and helping the poor" and "sharing the wealth" to make the common people work for them and serve them as cannon fodder. When it came to the "mountain of white bones", the base of the throne was erected.
After they sit firmly in the country, what will happen to the lives of the common people? "Every year, the bones of the war are buried in the wilderness, and the empty peach enters the Han family", "Today, the county Zai Jia Zhu Fu is dyed with the blood of living beings". Whether it is the war years or the so-called "peaceful and prosperous times", the common people are also miserable slaves.
Not only has the status and class of the common people not changed, but even the national character has not changed. The strict hierarchical system also separates people's hearts from each other, and cannot communicate with each other. All the evils of the national character are born from this. Ignorant and conservative, cowardly, selfish, numb and indifferent, and inclined to each other. Everyone begs for a living in deception and deception. With the prolongation of the feudal system, many of the virtues of the nation gradually shrank and disappeared, while the ugly things continued to grow and develop, becoming a kind of collective unconscious.
Lu Xun had a profound observation and experience of social reality and history, and raised the question of national character. In Lu Xun's view, what our national character lacks most is "sincerity and love".The fundamental reason for this lack lies in the feudal ** system for thousands of years. Lu Xun revealed the essence of the feudal society in the past thousand years:
"The rule of China is ideal. Someone picks up people, or someone gets picked, for the emperor ban, its intention is to protect the throne, the descendants of the king for thousands of generations, there is no bottom, so the solution of sex, will do their best to die; Someone who picks me up, or someone who can pick up people, is forbidden for the people, and his intention is to live in peace, and he would rather crouch down and fall and be evil and enterprising, so if he is liberated, he will do his best to die. ”That is to say, the political ideal of the feudal society of thousands of years is to always maintain stability and tranquility and prevent the people from being touched. The ruling class devised every means to realize this ideal, to maintain its dominance in peace, and to enjoy a life of poverty and luxury; The members of the upper class clinged to the monarchy and lived a life of pampering and pampering; And the broad masses of the people kept to themselves as slaves. One day after another, generation after generation. Being content with the status quo and being satisfied with the status quo, "rather crouching and depraved than evil and enterprising" has become a kind of national character. If someone is dissatisfied with reality and demands that the status quo be changed, they will be regarded as "alien" and "must get rid of him." References for this article:
