But as early as the start of this project, the screenwriter of the 2003 version of "Da Jang Geum" Kim Young-hyun stated on ** that she herself owns the copyright of the works and characters of "Da Jang Geum" produced in 2003, and now Lee Young-ae's "Medical Girl Da Jang Jin" is not a sequel or prequel to the 2003 version. 
This has basically proved that "The Doctor Girl" has nothing to do with the story we are familiar with, it is a sentimental drama that uses actors to rub the heat, and has lost the support of classic IP, and it is unrealistic to reshape the glory of 2003 "Da Changjin" just by relying on a name and an actor. And the biggest problem is that the times are likely not to pay. 
The reason why the former "Da Jang Geum" attracted so many fans and swept Southeast Asia and nearly 90 countries was because the TV series created the big heroine that people liked in that era. The whole "Da Changjin" does not emphasize how a woman challenges the patriarchal society, it uses Xu Changjin's hands to create an absolute king of personality, the heroine is kind, tenacious, intelligent, and diligent, almost the embodiment of all goodness. 
But now it has been 20 years since "Da Chang Jin", what is the big heroine we see in the era when truth, goodness and beauty are not popular? Domestic dramas can watch Ren Ruyi in "Yi Nian Guan Mountain", she is simply a female leader in ancient costumes, she will not be stupid and sweet, she has no love brain, she will kill if she doesn't like it, and if she likes a man, if it weren't for the fact that the script is a little poor, the drama would be hotter. 
Korean dramas can watch the heroines in "Dark Glory", "Eve" and "Why Wu Xiuzai", not a tooth for a tooth, a counter to violence with violence; is a pure evil girl, using everything to trample the former enemy under her feet, everyone is steady, accurate, ruthless, and will not let go if you bite you, this is the content of the heroine that meets the expectations of modern audiences. 
But Lee Young-ae, a pure love actress, is obviously not suitable for her transformation into a revenge heroine. 
After she got married, she officially began to make a comeback in 2019, and the book she obviously received was transforming. In 2021, she starred in the thriller drama "Gu Jingyi", which was very hard to publicize at that time, and she herself made a big breakthrough, playing a new type of policeman with a sloppy appearance and lazy demeanor.
There is indeed a breakthrough in the character design, but Lee Young-ae's performance in this drama has deep traces, this character basically relies on his hair to persuade the audience, and his body and facial features are obviously stiff.
Back in 2022, her "The Great Conductor: The Truth on the Strings" is the same, and the script is also very good, Lee Young-ae plays an excellent conductor in the play, only living in the world.
The character has a short haircut, and the whole person looks beautiful and sassy, but this drama also performs too hard, plus the plot is relatively loose, and the results are also very average. I privately thought that it might be that these two transformations were not operated well, and the reputation and popularity of the work were not good, so Lee Young-ae turned back to the role of "Dae Jang Geum" that she was familiar with, and tested whether the true, good, and beautiful heroine could save herself.
And I think almost all of the early Korean first-line actresses have such a dilemma, such as Kim Hee-sun, she was the princess Yushu in our hearts in her early years, but she was not active in filming, and the books she received in the past few years have all returned.
2022's "There Is Tomorrow" belongs to a fantasy theme, and Korean entertainment is relatively new in the bloody and suspenseful Korean entertainment, but the drama starts high and goes low, except for her sadomasochistic CP with actor Lee so Hyuk, everything else is very rough.
The follow-up "Black Bride" is even more word-of-mouth collapse, it stands to reason that this is also a female revenge theme, and it is the golden finger in Korean dramas, and it is easy to become a hit.
But the story line of "The Black Bride" is deliberately wide open and closed, and the housewife Xu Huisheng played by Kim Hee-sun has too poor combat effectiveness, she looks very aggrieved, and she didn't even get a passing score on Douban. At present, the early Korean goddess can still be "**", in addition to Song Hye Kyo, the star of last year's hit Korean drama "Dark Glory", who can be qualified for various types of heroines, Jun Ji-hyun can also create a big heroine that people like in this era.
Her personal characteristics are too strong, she is completely grown up in the aesthetics of the Oriental, and she is still comfortable with business after giving birth, and her horror action movie "Kingdom: Ashin in the North" suspense drama "Zhirisan Mountain" in recent years is okay.
In particular, the lineup of "Zhirisan Mountain" is really my favorite, but because the plot is too protracted, the integration of fantasy and supernatural elements is not good, and the reputation is not good, which is really a pity.
