It can be seen from the design diagram of the surge electrostatic protection scheme of Dongwo GPS interface that Dongwo electronic technology carries out surge electrostatic protection from two aspects: one is surge protection for the feeded DC power supply, and the other is for RF signal protection. For first-level power protection, Dongwo Technology recommends the semiconductor discharge tube P0080SC to absorb lightning strikes or large surge currents. Unidirectional transient suppression TVS diode SMBJ6 is used for the protection of the feed part0A and Schottky diode B0520W, which effectively protect the back-end LDO chip from surges. The secondary signal interface uses the ESD electrostatic protection diode DW05DLC-B-S launched by Dongwo, with a working voltage of 5V and a low clamping voltage of 183V, low leakage current 1UA. It can be used to provide ESD protection up to 30kV (air discharge) and 30kV (contact discharge) according to IEC 61000-4-2, and can withstand peak pulse currents of 17A (8 20us) according to IEC 61000-4-5, and the interface chip provides reliable electrostatic and surge protection. The ESD diode DW05DLC-B-S junction capacitor is 1pf, which can ensure the integrity of RF signal transmission.
