Recently, the rain and snow in the south have hindered many people's journey home, which reminds me of the Spring Festival in 2008, when I happened to be a witness to the snow disaster in the south, when I happened to be at the Guangzhou Railway Station, from the first day to the opening of traffic, witnessed the whole process.
To return to Shanxi, you need to transfer from Guangzhou to Shijiazhuang, and then transfer back. After planning the trip, I rushed to embark on the return journey, arrived at Guangzhou Railway Station in the afternoon, lined up to check the ticket, it showed that the train was late, at that time it was still a green train, and it was normal to be late, so everyone didn't take it seriously, thinking that it was a regular delay, and the news did not report any news about this, but I didn't expect that this time the delay was a week late, and it became the later Guangzhou Railway Station incident.
At first, everyone was waiting patiently, and when they waited for two or three hours, it was obvious that everyone began to be irritable, and kept asking what happened, when the train would arrive, and the station staff just replied that the snow was late, so everyone waited patiently, and did not reply to the specific time.
The wait was one night, and there was no clear reply from the station, and the train room was already full of people.
Leave or keep waiting? I've been waiting for so long, and I'm here to get away from the ** car?
People have not yet realized what the snow disaster means for the south. As a northerner, snow is so normal that I've never heard of any effect because of snow. So everyone thought that the train would come soon.
It is these thoughts and mentalities that make the people at the train station gather more and more, and it is impossible to get out after the third day, the station is already full of people, and more and more people gather. Although because of the long-distance train, I bought a lot of food when I set off, but it was too long, the reserves were already eaten, and angry people began to shout slogans to go home, but it didn't work, and the train couldn't come.
The station is densely packed with people.
I can only continue to wait ...
On the sixth day, I heard the news that the train was coming.
The train is finally coming, people have no time to care about which train is coming, the end point of the train is **, they all rush to the train, anyway, they always go to the north, and I followed the crowd to get on the train.
The train was packed with people, even the toilets were packed. No electricity, no water, this way stop-and-go, every city has people to get off at home, more than 20 hours of normal driving, walked for two days, and finally arrived in Shijiazhuang.
After eight days, I finally got home, and when I went home and saw the news, I realized that there were hundreds of thousands of people gathered at the Guangzhou Railway Station at that time.
It can be seen that nothing can stop the Chinese from going home for the New Year.
It was also after this incident that China began the road of high-speed rail development, and built a major artery connecting the east, west, north and south.
May everyone arrive home safely!
Go home for the New Year
