Major Li Dawei revolted and returned to the land, what is the current situation
Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, many Taiwan Air Force pilots have chosen to revolt and fly planes back to the mainland of the motherland. They bid farewell to their relatives, gave up their preferential treatment, and resolutely returned to the embrace of their mother's motherland with firm faith.
David Lee was one of them, and compared with the rest of the pilots who abandoned the darkness and turned to the light, David Lee had a higher rank and his deeds were more legendary.
Li Dawei, a Kuomintang air force soldier who resolutely returned to the mainland under the strict control of the Kuomintang, his courage and determination are amazing. His parents were both Kuomintang soldiers, and they fled to Taiwan in order to survive, so Li Dawei left his hometown of Anhui in his mother's womb.
However, despite the enormous risks and difficulties, David Lee always believed in his beliefs and eventually succeeded in returning to his homeland. His father, Li Hongtu, was an excellent martial artist who was once appreciated by a Kuomintang officer and recommended to study at the Whampoa Military Academy.
Li Dawei's father's experience and education may have also influenced Li Dawei's decision to some extent.
After graduating from the Whampoa Military Academy, Li Hongtu joined the Kuomintang army. After the Xi'an Incident, the people put Zhang Xueliang under house arrest and sent soldiers to guard him and monitor his movements.
Li Hongtu is one of them. Even though they were supposed to be enemies, they became friends because of their shared interests.
Zhang Xueliang was taken to Hsinchu, Taiwan under house arrest by the national ** in the 50s, and when he heard that Li Hongtu had also come to Taiwan, he immediately begged him to continue to "take care" and "protect" himself.
As a result, Li Hongtu's eldest son, Li Dawei, began to visit the "Young Marshal's Mansion" frequently, and got to know this once famous and rewritten history. Of course, when he was young, he didn't know much about Zhang Xueliang's past, but he just felt that the elder in front of him was knowledgeable and kind.
Mr. and Mrs. Zhang Xueliang loved this lively and cute little boy who loved to laugh and make trouble, and regarded him as their own child. Zhang Xueliang taught him about the beauty of the Northeast, the history of China, the superiority of the Communist Party over the Kuomintang, and the meaning of freedom.
Although the eight-year-old Li Dawei was ignorant, Zhang Xueliang's deep affection for the mainland of the motherland and his yearning for returning to the motherland deeply moved him. This experience made Li Dawei have a wish in his heart: In the future, he must return to the mainland and his hometown to see the great rivers and mountains of the motherland.
Under the influence of Zhang Xueliang, Li Dawei became interested in military affairs and began to understand the affairs on the other side of the strait and the deeds of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
Despite many difficulties, Li Dawei's dream of returning to China has become stronger and stronger. He told himself that the mainland was his destination, and he must go back to see it. Finally in 1968, Li Dawei was admitted to the Kuomintang Army Military Academy and graduated with honors.
Then, in 1972, he was admitted to the Army Aviation School and became a pilot.
David Lee, a young man with beautiful academic experience and superb flying skills, is highly appreciated by his superiors because of his good family background. In a very short period of time, he was promoted to the rank of Major of the Air Force, a major of this age is rare in the whole world, and his talent and ability are widely recognized.
In the process, Li Dawei met his wife, and the two got married in the presence of the KMT's top brass, had a lovely child, and the family lived a happy life.
However, the responsibilities of work and family, as well as the longing for his hometown, gradually cooled his beliefs, and he seemed ready to accept this life. However, the occurrence of three events rekindled Li Dawei's belief in returning to his hometown.
He saw the corruption within the Kuomintang and the manipulation of Taiwan by the United States, which made his longing for his hometown heat up again. In the end, he broke through all obstacles, returned to the arms of his motherland, and began his path back from the uprising.
Li Dawei's story tells us that no matter how far we go, we must not forget our roots, our home, and our country. No matter how many difficulties and challenges lie ahead, we should face them bravely, stick to our beliefs, and ultimately realize our ideals.
Local black-hearted American businessmen relied on their identity and nationality to wantonly smuggle contraband and oppress the people. Because the Taiwan authorities are secretly developing an atomic bomb, they choose to turn a blind eye to the bad behavior of American businessmen.
David Lee, a man of justice and a desire to do justice for the people, desperately sought Chiang Kai-shek's help to expose the actions of these American businessmen.
However, Chiang Kai-shek not only exonerated these people, but also rebuked him for interfering in politics and people's livelihood, an area in which he had no right as a soldier. Knowing that the Taiwan authorities had acquiesced in the actions of these American businessmen, Li Dawei's heart was half cold, and he thought of the uprising.
But he soon told himself that the United States was a powerful country, and Chiang Kai-shek's ignorance must have his own problems.
Mr. Jiang drove the crane west, and Zhang Xueliang's life did not become better because of this. In 1975, he learned of Chiang Kai-shek's death, but his heart was mixed.
He excitedly came to the courtyard where Zhang Xueliang was under house arrest, wanting to tell his dear Uncle Zhang that Mr. Chiang Kai-shek, who had ordered him to be placed under house arrest, had left the world and that he might soon be free.
However, the moment he stepped into the courtyard, he clearly heard the voice of the national ** staff from inside the house: "Young marshal, I'm sorry, President Jiang said before he died that he couldn't let the tiger return to the mountain."
These words are like a knife cut, announcing that Zhang Xueliang's imprisonment life will be far away. Li Dawei was deeply excited, and he encouraged Zhang Xueliang to intercede with Chiang Ching-kuo, but Zhang Xueliang just waved his hand sadly, leaving a sentence of "the king wants the minister to die, and the minister has to die", and then said no more.
Li Dawei began to think for the first time about the "freedom" that Zhang Xueliang said when he was a child, as long as it goes against the will of the Taiwan authorities, it will be wiped out and will not be allowed to exist. Under this Taiwan**, there can never be real freedom.
The second time, David Li thought of the uprising.
On August 8, 1981, Huang Zhicheng flew an F-5 fighter jet and resolutely returned to the mainland from Taoyuan Airport, a move that had a profound impact on Li Dawei.
The Huang family has served the people for generations, produced many backbone air force backbones, and was deeply trusted by Chiang Kai-shek, and Huang Zhicheng himself was greatly commended by the Taiwan authorities. People from such backgrounds can bravely return to the mainland, so why should they hesitate?
Deeply shocked, Li Dawei began to plan his plan to return to China, and after more than a year of careful preparation, he finally decided to carry out the operation on April 22, 1983.
He happened to be assigned a task of piloting a reconnaissance plane to reconnoiter Fujian, which was undoubtedly a godsend for him.
Li Dawei flew a U-6A reconnaissance plane to take off from Taiwan's Hualien Airport, and in the course of his mission, he suddenly changed its course and flew toward Fujian. In order to avoid being detected by radar, he has always kept flying at a low altitude close to the surface of the sea.
With his superb flying skills, he successfully arrived in Fujian and planned to land at Fujian Airport. However, due to the excessive sea fog that day, neither the mainland nor Taiwan saw Li Dawei's prescribed action of flying uprising, but only saw him swooping down directly.
The Taiwan side thought that he was going to carry out a suicide attack and did not interfere too much, while the PLA comrades of the Fujian Military Region regarded Li Dawei's behavior as a provocation and immediately aimed antiaircraft guns at his reconnaissance plane and fired several shots in succession as a warning.
Li Dawei, who heard the sound of the cannon, broke out in a cold sweat, and he hurriedly lowered the flight altitude, turned on the course lights, and made several movements that shook the wings by a large margin, and then repeatedly retracted the landing gear, circled at an altitude of several tens of meters at sea, and once again made the prescribed maneuvers of the agreed flight to surrender.
Despite the danger of life and death, David Li remained steadfast in his mission, showing loyalty and bravery.
Li Dawei's mainland dream was realized on a beach in the Fujian People's Liberation Army District. Despite the difficulties encountered during the landing, fortunately, the ground forces sent professional ground crews in time to assist him in his smooth landing.
After returning to the mainland, Li Dawei was warmly welcomed and invited by the Fuzhou Military Region to serve as vice president of an aviation school, and was given a bonus of 150,000 yuan. Although the bonus was tempting, Li Dawei chose to refuse, and he was very interested in working as an aviation school teacher.
Li Dawei is a person with a deep love for the Chinese People's Liberation Army, he has served as the vice president of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force Aviation School and the national special pilot, and has trained a large number of excellent pilots for the motherland.
He has always paid close attention to the development of the motherland and believes that in the near future, the great cause of the reunification of the motherland will be realized. He has been working hard to achieve this goal, and although he is now retired, he is still making his own contribution to the peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait.
He is looking forward to the day when he will be reunited with his wife and daughter, and believes that day will come soon.
