In February 1979, under the instructions of the ** Military Commission, the troops of our army stationed in Yunnan and Guangxi provinces entered Vietnam and launched a self-defense counterattack against the Vietnamese army that had been provoking on the border of our country for a long time. Despite the outstanding superiority in the fighting spirit and equipment of the troops, our army completed the operational objectives in a short period of one month and successfully won the battle.

But in the process, there are still many heroes and martyrs who died in the humid jungles of Vietnam. Among these martyrs, there are not only ordinary soldiers with unknown origins, but also many commanders and fighters of the army. Even the sons and heirs of the ten leaders of our army left their precious lives on the battlefield.

Who are these firstborn sons? What kind of experiences did they have?

Pay attention to learn about the eldest sons and heirs of our army who died in the Vietnam War.

In 1984, the film "Garland Under the Mountain" directed by director Xie Jin appeared. As one of the few films that tells the performance of our soldiers in the Vietnam War, the film was unanimously loved by the people as soon as it was broadcast. Among the many characters with distinct personalities in this film, the one who is well received by the masses is "Captain Lei". Commander Lei in the play, as the senior commander of the army, concealed from all the soldiers of the army, quietly sent his son to the front line of the army, and went to the battlefield of the Vietnam War with the army. In the end, Commander Lei's son "Little Beijing" died gloriously on the battlefield, which moved countless audiences.

In fact, the story of "Captain Lei" and "Little Beijing" is not fiction, but has a real character archetype. Zhang Zhixin, a division commander under the 54th Army, is the prototype of "Commander Lei". As a middle-level and high-level cadre of the People's Liberation Army, he has the responsibility of protecting his family and defending the country, but as a father, he also has the obligation to care for his children. Zhang Zhixin has only one son, and according to the traditional customs of the Chinese, he should not let his only son go to the battlefield. But under the influence of his father, the tension of his youth has already germinated the ambition of joining the army and defending the country. After Zhang Zhang proposed to join the army and become a grassroots soldier, Division Commander Zhang agreed to this request without a moment's hesitation.

In Master Zhang's view, the happiness of a small family is nothing compared to the stability and prosperity of the country. He did not admonish his son, but only left the words of "Don't disgrace your father" to his son who joined the army. It turns out that Zhang Zhang really did not disgrace his father. Although his father was the division commander of the army, Zhang Zhang concealed the news and served as an ordinary soldier in the army. After the Vietnam War began, he was promoted to the deputy squad leader of the reconnaissance platoon and took on the important task of reconnoitring the enemy situation for the troops.

During a trip to a local position to inquire about the news, Zhang Zhang and the scouts accompanying him were discovered by the enemy. In order to complete the task and send the news back to the troops, Zhang Zhang commanded the fighters to leave and cover for themselves. In the end, the scout fighters succeeded in bringing back the information and provided important help to the main force in the battle. However, the deputy squad leader Zhang Li was outnumbered, and was hit by the enemy during the cover process and died on the battlefield.

Another martyr from the image of "Little Beijing" is named Luo Yuening. Luo Yuening was the son of Luo Rong, then deputy chief of general staff of the Guangzhou Military Region. Luo Yuening, as a native of Jiangxi's old revolutionary base area, awakened his revolutionary thinking early and threw himself into the army. Because he joined the army as a teenager, no one in the army found out about his relationship with General Luo Rong. At the time of the Vietnam War, Luo Yuening had been promoted to deputy company commander. Hearing the news of the war, he volunteered to report to his superiors and was transferred to the front line of operations, Luo Rong had a good relationship with Xu Shiyou, commander of the Guangzhou Military Region, and after hearing that his nephew was spontaneously transferred to the front line, General Xu once dissuaded Luo Rong from transferring his children back to the rear. But General Luo Rong firmly refused, expressing his support for his son to go to the front.

After Luo Yuening arrived at the battlefield with the troops, he soon encountered difficulties. His unit was surrounded by the Vietnamese army because of the occupation of the high ground. Soon after, the Vietnamese army launched a fierce attack on our troops in an attempt to annihilate all our troops. On the position, a large number of our soldiers were seriously wounded under artillery fire.

In order to retain more combat strength, Luo Yuening, as the deputy company commander, personally led people to shuttle between various positions and carried all the seriously injured soldiers down to the position to recuperate. In the dense fire network composed of artillery fire and bullets, Luo Yuening charged several times, bringing a large number of comrades out of danger, but he attracted the attention of the enemy artillery.

Unnoticed, a shell accurately landed beside Luo Yuening, who was shuttling around the position, and blew it to pieces on the spot. The deputy company commander, who was only 26 years old, died in this way.

In self-defense against Vietnam, many of the chief's children lost their young lives. In addition to "Little Beijing", are there still those young heroes who died on the battlefield?

After talking about the two character prototypes of "Little Beijing", let's talk about the remaining four young heroes. The four of them were two biological brothers. Geng Jun and Geng Xiaokang, who were the deputy chief of staff of a division of the 50th Army, and Liu Ming and Liu Guang, the sons of Liu Bin, deputy commander of the Yunnan Baoshan Military Division, all spilled their blood on the battlefield.

In their early years, under the guidance of their father, the Geng brothers established the ambition of defending the country and being loyal. The two brothers entered the army one after another and became ordinary soldiers in a regiment under their father. Because this regiment was formed for a relatively short period of time, it did not bear the burden of combat tasks, and in peacetime it mainly relied on logistical labor. But the two brothers did not become dissatisfied because of this, nor did they lose their ambition to serve the country.

After the Vietnam War began, the two brothers hid from their father and quietly found the leader of the army and proposed to go to the front. The leader of the army did not want to agree, but under the soft grinding and hard foam of the two brothers, they finally agreed to the request of the two.

Although the two brothers went to the front line without telling their parents, as the head of the army, Geng Jinfu naturally couldn't be unaware of this matter. The main reason why he did not make any obstruction to the two brothers was because he understood the correctness of the children's thinking of protecting their families and defending the country. The Geng brothers soon arrived in Vietnam with front-line combat units. The troops successively captured a number of military important places in Gaoping. However, in the Gaoping area, the Geng brothers suffered a catastrophe in their lives.

The unit where the two were in the field accidentally encountered a Vietnamese army. Relying on the fortifications built by themselves, the Vietnamese army suppressed the troops passing through this place and made it difficult to fight back. From time to time, there was harassment by small groups of Vietnamese troops in the surrounding area. In the end, the Geng brothers' company was surrounded by Vietnamese troops, and it was difficult to break through on their own.

Because of the needs of the combat mission, the regiment to which he belonged could not be supported by the whole army, and could only send some troops to the rescue. These troops were also ambushed by the enemy on the way to the rescue, and they could not even rescue the company of the Geng brothers.

After two days and nights of fierce fighting with the enemy, the company of the two fell into a desperate situation and launched a brutal white-knuckle battle. In order to cover the retreat of the wounded, his younger brother Geng Xiaokang fought to the death with the enemy and finally died. The elder brother Geng Jun stayed in the position and fought with the enemy until he ran out of ammunition and food, and chose to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff in order to protect the integrity of the People's Liberation Army.

In the end, the two brothers left their parents with only a straw mat, two months' allowance, and a suicide note written before the war: "Mom and Dad, please don't be sad, we are going to the front, if you can't come back, please live strongly." The children have nothing to leave for their parents to remember, only 12 yuan and a straw mat, please accept it! ”

The Liu brothers, as the children of the chief, also established their ambition to serve the country in their early years. His elder brother Liu Guang enlisted in the army in 1978 and became a glorious reconnaissance company soldier of the Kunming Military Region. In the preliminary investigation work before the start of the war, Liu Guang made great contributions, not only joined the party in the line of fire, but was also promoted to the commander of the reconnaissance platoon, and was given a third-class meritorious service award. After completing his studies at the military academy, Liu Guang received instructions from his superiors to stay in the military region. However, Liu Guang insisted on returning to the front-line troops and participating in the war against Vietnam.

After returning to the front-line troops, Liu Guang led his reconnaissance company to shuttle through the border and carried out 45 missions, providing our army with a large amount of usable intelligence. However, during a reconnaissance, Liu Guang unfortunately touched a mine laid by the enemy, and finally died honorably.

The younger brother Liu Ming, as a member of the 40th Army of the Kunming Military Region, is also not much inferior to his elder brother. As the squad leader of a sharp knife squad of the 40th Army, Liu Ming participated in the tragic Battle of Laoshan with the troops. In the process of assaulting the 119 heights, Liu Ming, the leader of the sharp knife squad, was awarded a second-class meritorious service for his personal bravery. Since then, stationed in the Laoshan position, Liu Ming has made many meritorious contributions and was quickly promoted to platoon commander. But such a promising young soldier, in order to let ordinary soldiers hide from enemy fire, exposed himself, and finally lost his life by merciless artillery fire, at the age of 23.

In addition to the young heroes mentioned above, there are also 4 eldest sons who died in the Vietnam War. They were Jiang Luping, son of Jiang Xieyuan, deputy commander of the Guangzhou Military Region, Qu Ningjiang, son of Qu Kui, deputy chief of staff of the 41st Army, Zhou Wei, son of Zhou Kaiyuan, political commissar of the 121st Division of the 41st Army, and Zhen Ping, son of Zhen Wenlin, deputy political commissar of the 55th Army.

As deputy commander of the Guangzhou Military Region, Jiang Xieyuan was ordered to lead his army from Guangxi into the battlefield. Before entering Vietnam, Jiang Xieyuan gave an order to his two sons, who were serving as operational staff officers and reconnaissance squad leaders in the main force under his banner: "If you don't make meritorious service, don't come to see me again!" ”

Although Jiang Luping is only an operational staff officer, it stands to reason that he does not need to devote himself to front-line operations every time. But under the influence of his father, Jiang Luping always took the lead and led the army to charge ahead. Once, he led a company of soldiers to sneak into the rear of the enemy army to inquire about the relevant news, but was accidentally discovered by the enemy. In the process of breaking through, in order to cover the soldiers, Jiang Luping was shot in the abdomen and bleeding profusely. Although the main forces of our army finally arrived, they were unable to save his life.

After this matter reached the ears of Deputy Commander Jiang Xieyuan, he not only did not grieve because of the child's death, but praised the child's contribution to the country, and kept praising it: "The third child has made meritorious contributions!" ”

As deputy commander, he could have transferred the child back to the rear, but he insisted that the child stay on the front line and continue to fight. In the end, the deputy commander waited for his wounded youngest son and the ashes of his brother in his hand after the war. But General Jiang Xieyuan still did not complain, but comforted himself: The children have made meritorious contributions to the country!

As the child of the deputy chief of staff of the 41st Army, Qu Ningjiang has learned excellent shooting skills since he was a child. After entering the army, Qu Ningjiang gave full play to his strengths, which can be called a hundred shots. Because of his young age and his very handsome appearance, many veterans in the army did not take this half-grown child seriously at the beginning. But after seeing Qu Ningjiang's shooting skills, there was no one who didn't give him a thumbs up.

After the Vietnam War began, Qu Ningjiang became a terrifying killing god on the battlefield. Each of his bullets will succeed in stealing the soul chain of the enemy's life, causing a stir of fear within the enemy army.

But in fact, this young sharpshooter was not qualified to go to war because of his short military experience. But the father, who was the deputy chief of staff, personally reported to his superiors that he wanted to send the sharpshooter's son to the battlefield to kill the enemy. Qu Ningjiang also did not live up to his father's expectations and made great contributions on the battlefield.

But I often walk by the river, how can I not get my shoes wet. During a certain escort of the wounded, Qu Ningjiang and others were attacked. Because of the concern for the wounded in his heart, when the enemy attacked the wounded, Qu Ningjiang subconsciously used his body to protect the body of the wounded comrade. Bullets pierced Qu Ningjiang's body in this way, taking away his young life.

Zhou Wei, as the child of a high-ranking officer in the army, did not enjoy any privileges of the state in his life. Before the Vietnam War, he was just an ordinary worker. After hearing that our country was about to go to war with Vietnam, as the son of a soldier, he resolutely quit his job and joined the army without telling his family as an ordinary soldier.

After entering the army, Zhou Wei did not choose to be transferred to his father's 121st Division, but stuck to his identity and went to the front line with the army. Due to reconnaissance errors, Zhou Wei's regimental headquarters failed to complete the set interspersed combat mission, but was surrounded by the enemy and lost important logistical supplies. In the case of being surrounded, Zhou Wei and others put up fierce resistance, trying to launch an interspersed operation again and break out of the encirclement.

However, due to the large number of enemy troops, the combat strength of his regiment was greatly reduced due to supplies and other reasons, and finally failed. Zhou Wei was unfortunately shot and died in the process of interspersing operations with the troops.

Zhen Ping, the son of the deputy political commissar of the 55th Army, served as a platoon commander in the war against Vietnam. In order to complete the important task of the troops to seize Kuuma Mountain, Zhen Ping led the army to charge the enemy high ground. After pulling out several enemy fire points one after another, Zhen Ping was unfortunately hit by the enemy's hidden bunker fire, and the bullet pierced through his body and died. Prior to this, he had made a third-class merit and a second-class merit, and won countless honors for his father.

In addition to the sons of these ten leaders, many commanders and fighters of our army and countless children of Chinese people died in the mountains of Vietnam. They gave up their young lives to buy decades of long-term peace and stability for our country. And those leaders, commanders and fighters and ordinary people who send their children to the battlefield, they do not do not love their children, but they know too well that "there is a country first, then a home", for the motherland, for the nation, they can only dedicate their children and fulfill their obligations as Chinese.
