2024 DC Heroes and Villains Who will appear in film and television dramas?

Mondo Entertainment Updated on 2024-02-01

2023 will be a difficult year for DC. All four of his big-screen productions have underperformed (some of them have been a disaster). On the television side, things are slightly better, but many of the long-running episodes have either ended or have been announced to be coming to an end.

With the new DC Universe led by Peter Safran and James Gunn not fully launched until 2025, this year seems like a rebuilding year for the studio: a warm-up for the bigger events to come.

The heaviest DC heroes and villains of 2024 are here

Jokers

The Joker, Batman's arch-nemesis, will play a major role in Joker 2: The Crazy Duo, the sequel to the hugely successful 2019 Joker. Joaquin Phoenix will once again play this entrenched, gritty clown prince in this universe.

He will also appear in Suicide Squad: Another World, a cartoon featuring DC's infamous Task Force X. There, his voice will be handled by Yuichiro Umehara.

Harley Quinn

As the Joker's former main sidekick, Harley Quinn's recent incarnation has given the character more autonomy and allowed her to act independently. Superstar Lady Gaga will play Halle Quinn in Todd Phillips' Joker 2: The Crazy Duo.

She will also be featured in "Man You: Hell Hi! and Suicide Squad: Another World, with the voices of Kelly Cuco and Anna Nagase, respectively.

Speaking of Kelly Cuco, she will continue to star in the fifth season of Max's hit series Harley Quinn, assuming the fifth season airs this year.

Superman

Man of Steel, Marvel of Metropolis, the last son of Krypton. Clark Kent has multiple titles, but he will always be considered the most recognizable superhero in the world: Superman. Taylor Hochlin will return for the final season of the CW series Superman & Louise, marking the end of DC's long-standing presence on the channel.

In addition, Superman will also appear in the Tomorrow Universe's Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths as an animated feature.

In the one, two, and three parts. Darren Chris will be voicing Superman in these films.

In addition, if My Superman Adventure returns for a second season in 2024, Jack Quaid's animated, anime-style Kent will also appear there.

Louise

Clark Kent's true love, Planet** reporter Louise Lane will continue to appear in the new year.

Not only will she lead the final season of Superman & Lois (played by Beatsy Tulock), but Alice Lee's animated version of Louise could also return to the high-profile My Superman Adventure (if the show finally releases in 2024).

And, if that wasn't enough, Ms. Lane will also play a supporting role in all three installments of Tomorrow's Universe's Crisis on Infinite Earths trilogy animation (presumably voiced by Alexandra Daddario), each of which is scheduled to be released this year.

Oswald Copote, Penguin Man

Batman's old rival Oswald Copote, better known as the Penguin Man, will continue to plague Gotham City in the limited-level series of the same name, Penguin Man, which airs on Max.

The show is set in the universe of the film "Batman" directed by Matt Reeves, and features Colin Farrell as the terrifying crime boss.

Sofia Falcone

Sofia Falcone is the daughter of the notorious Gotham mob boss Carmen Falcone. Falcone Sr. ended his life in "Batman," and Kristen Migliotti in "The Romance of Mom and Dad" will play Sofia in the film's spin-off, Penguin Man.

Sofia Falcone will reportedly be the co-star of the show, partnering star Colin Farrell.

Salvatore Maroni

Another of Gotham City's most feared ** is Salvatore Maroney. As established in Batman, Salvatore ordered Thomas and Martha Wayne to be killed. In Penguin, Maroney will finally be played by the prolific Clancy Brown.

Amanda Waller

Amanda Waller, traditionally portrayed as the iron-fisted leader of Argus, one of DC's cosmic intelligence agencies, will once again be played by Oscar winner Viola Davis. This time, though, she won't be in real life.

No, Davis will reprise the role in the animated series Beast Sentai written by James Gunn, which will premiere on MAX and officially be the first project in the new DC universe.

Colonel Rick Fleg

Rick Flleg's son, Rick Fleg, who served with the Suicide Squad in the 2021 film, will be portrayed by Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier of Frank Grillo in Max's Alien Beast Squad. It is likely that Grillo will also play this role in future live-action films.

The bride of Frankenstein

When the Beast Sentai series premieres later this year, Game of Thrones Indira Varma will voice Frankenstein's bride.

Eric Frankenstein

Eric Frankenstein is based on the literary (and classic horror movie) character of the Frankenstein monster, who has superhuman strength. And because of his immortal physiology, he is essentially immortal.

David Harbour of Stranger Things will voice the character in Alien Beast Squad.

Man Kite

Little villain Man Kite will be featured in the animated series Kite Man: Hell Hi, which airs on Max! as the main character. The show is a spin-off of "Harley Quinn", and Matt Auberge will return to the voice to reprise his role in the parent show.

Golden Glider

The Golden Glider will appear in Human Skatheree: Hell Hi! , voiced by Cathy Aung. In the upcoming episode, Glider and her boyfriend, Man Kite, will take over ownership of a rundown bar in Gotham City.

Darkseid

The almighty Darkseid, the King of the Apocalypse Stars, will be the star of "Man Kite: Hell Hi! The main character in "Harley Quinn" jumped from "Harley Quinn", and Keith Davide continued to serve as the voice of the animation.

Rorschach

DC and Warner Bros. will once again try to capitalize on the popularity of Ellen Moore's legendary drawing ** Watchmen with a new animated film. Without the mysterious, cynical Rorschach, how can it be called "Watchmen"?

Batman

Finally, the bane of Gotham's criminal world, the Cloak Fighter himself, Batman, will appear in Aztec Batman: War of Empires. This new animated film promises an interesting adaptation of the traditional story of the Black Knight: it will be set in Mexico during the Aztec Empire.

In addition to this, Bruce will also appear in three parts of Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths.
