Huang Tianyin,He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a scholarship in Medicine and obtained a Master's and PhD in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in the United States. Previously held key leadership positions in universities and research institutes in Singapore and Australia; He was elected as a Foreign Member of the National Academy of Medicine, a Corresponding Member of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences, and a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences of Singapore. In 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022, he was named to Clarivate's global Highly Cited Researchers list, with an H-Index of 214. In 2023, Wong was ranked third in Asia in the Asia-Pacific Eye 100 - Most Influential Ophthalmologists 2022 by the Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology (APJO). In clinical and scientific research, Huang Tianyin is mainly engaged in clinical work related to macular degeneration and retinal diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases and myopic macular degeneration, and is committed to the research and innovation of retinal diseases and ocular imaging (including artificial intelligence), and has carried out a series of pioneering work in the interdisciplinary research fields of epidemiology, translational and clinical research in retinal diseases and ocular imaging. In 2010, Huang Tianyin's team launched the National Telemedicine Screening Program for Diabetic Retinopathy, and the software developed by the team has been widely certified and applied to more than 30 international clinical, scientific research and industry cooperation institutions. Based on his in-depth and continuous pioneering research in the field of diabetic retinopathy, he was interviewed by the internationally renowned journal The Lancet.

Huang Tianyin visits the Department of Ophthalmology of Tsinghua Chang Gung Hospital affiliated to Tsinghua University every month to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese medical care through contact with patients. He has been deeply involved in the construction of China's medical and health undertakings with practical actions, taking China's major demand for medical services as an important basis and direct guidance for the formulation of Tsinghua Medical School's curriculum and medical student training program, and leading the brand-new Tsinghua Medical School to move towards high-quality development step by step.
