Life is a passerby, why bother with thousands of knots

Su Zi said: "Life is like a reverse journey, and I am also a pedestrian." ”In the world, people and all things are passers-by. Troubles and hardships, feelings and sorrows, gathered and scattered in the wind. Only by letting go of the knots in our hearts can we avoid the troubles of the world.

Annoyance, because of thinking too much

Li Bai once wrote in a poem: "The white hair is three thousand zhang, and the fate is like a long one." ”There are thousands of people's troubles, and they are always countless, and they are constantly cut, and they are still messy. But most of the time, there is nothing in the world, and mediocrity disturbs itself. Psychologists conducted an experiment in which experimenters were asked to write down their "worries" for the coming week and put them in a designated "worry box". A week later, the psychologist opened the "worry box" and asked the experimenter to check his "troubles". It turned out that nearly ninety percent of the "troubles" never happened. In order to prove the accuracy of the experiment, the psychologist asked the people to write down their real "troubles" and put them back in the box. After three weeks, the experimenters found that the troubles that had plagued them for a long time had disappeared. From this point of view, most of the time we think too much and ask for trouble. There is a story about a man who wanted to borrow an axe from a neighbor's house, but was worried that the neighbor would not lend it to him. On the way to his neighbor's house, he began to think, "What if he was using it?" Or what if he doesn't want to lend it to me? Would he lie to me and say he couldn't find it? The more he thought about it, the more annoyed he became, and he felt a little angry: "It is said that 'distant relatives are not as good as close neighbors', if he doesn't want to borrow me, he must see that I am a bully, so he is stingy with me!" Finally, when he came to his neighbor, the words he wanted to borrow an axe came to his lips, but they became: "Keep your broken axe, who is rare, and don't try to borrow anything from me in the future!" The neighbor was speechless and angrily shut him out, and he was even more angry, "I knew you were such a person!" ”It can be seen that thinking too much is like lifting a stone to shoot yourself in the foot, making people fall into self-suffering, self-torture, and self-seeking distress. In this way, not only can you not change the predicament, but you will have worries, and finally let your life be unsatisfactory. So, don't think too much, let go of your thoughts, and live freely. It's too tiring because it's demanding perfection

Buddhists call the world "the world of sava," the world of defects. Life is the same, like the change of day and night, like the moon and sunshine. There is no absolute perfection, let alone true perfection. Don't demand perfection, follow the way of nature, in order to be happy and relieved. There is a story about a fisherman who went out to sea to catch a pearl the size of a pigeon's egg, round and shiny, which was the finest pearl. The fisherman treats the pearl as a treasure and plays with it carefully, only to find a small black dot on the pearl. He felt that the pearl was not perfect enough and wanted to remove the black dots and make it a perfect pearl. So, I carefully polished the black spots, and watched as the pearls gradually became smaller, but the black spots still existed. The fisherman refused to give up, and peeled the pearls apart layer by layer, until the pearls turned into a pile of powder, and the black spots appeared. And the pearl is gone, and the fisherman regrets that he could have had a peerless pearl, but now there is nothing left. He decided to go out to sea every day in search of the peerless pearl. However, how many peerless pearls can there be in the world? Day after day, the fisherman could not find the pearls, lost his livelihood**, was physically and mentally exhausted, and finally died of depression. As the saying goes, "flaws do not hide Yu", a black spot, can not affect the value of pearls. But in order to cover up the flaws, the demand for perfection and hard work will outweigh the losses. Don't let the pursuit become demanding, and the perfection becomes a burden. As the Tao Te Ching says: "Everyone in the world knows that beauty is beauty, and evil is evil." We all know that what is good is good, and what is not good is good. "No one is perfect, everything is endlessly beautiful, and everything is just right. Only by following the fate of gains and losses, contentment and happiness, can we be calm and happy.

Suffering is due to lack of wisdom

Scholar Zhu Guangqian once said: "Emotions are often bad, but in fact, you are not wise enough." ”Human suffering is essentially a lack of wisdom. The more intelligent a person is, the higher the level of cognition and the more comprehensive the view of the problem. In this way, no matter where you are, you can live freely and freely. When I was young, a writer felt that life was full of troubles and often felt miserable about it. He has been searching for it and trying to explore and solve it through various academic methods, but he has never been able to understand it. It wasn't until he first meditated that he realized that he had never thought about why he was suffering for so many years. Every time I was in a bad mood, I focused on others and never seriously thought about why I was in pain. He began to look inside himself and change his perspective. He tried to turn all the pain into the motivation to seek, published several books, and became famous. In fact, it is not the problem itself that determines emotions, but people's perception of things. A person always feels pain, in the final analysis, because of a lack of wisdom. If you want to "not be happy with things, not be sad with yourself", you have to change your mentality and change your way of thinking. Treat suffering as an episode in the journey of life, and frustration as a splash of ink in the picture of life. Look at life with a wise eye, coexist with suffering, be accompanied by pain, transcend things, and forget worries. As the Taoist says: "The small is hidden in the wilderness, and the big is hidden in the city." "If a person's heart is as calm as water, even if he is in the wilderness, his heart can be in the paradise.

Sixth Ancestor Hui Nengyun: "There is nothing originally, where is the dust?" "Spring comes with a hundred flowers, and autumn has a bright moon; Cicadas chirp everywhere in summer, and snow in winter; If there is nothing in your heart, it is a good time in the world. Born as a human being, he is a passerby, so why bother with thousands of knots. Floating life is like a dream, and the bearish is all clouds and smoke; There are a lot of troubles, and it is a sunny day if you want to open it.
