More than 70,000 employee inventions walked out of the factory floor

Since 2016, the Fujian Provincial Federation of Trade Unions held the first "five small" innovation competition for millions of employees, the province has established supporting incentive measures for the integration of multi-level trade unions for employee innovation achievements, and has taken the "five small" activities as an important part of mass innovation work and included them in the provincial annual "industrial reform" work points. Provide whole-process intellectual property protection consulting services for award-winning employee innovation achievements, and promote the market-oriented transformation of employees' "five small" innovation achievements. Driven by this, the original single innovation competition has been extended to an innovation service system covering multiple nodes of employee innovation, and a mass innovation ecosystem of the province's trade unions has been formed of "project optimization, policy catalysis, platform incubation, and achievement transformation".

The mass innovation ecosystem is built around the core of the "Five Smalls" Innovation Competition, including project optimization, policy catalysis, platform incubation, project review during the competition, and intellectual property protection and achievement transformation after the competition, covering the whole life cycle of employee innovation projects from incubation to transformation. The relevant person in charge of the Fujian Provincial Federation of Trade Unions said.

It is understood that in Fuzhou City, relying on the Fuzhou Employee Innovation and Entrepreneurship Creation Center, a "Employee Three Innovation Ecological Chain" integrating "Maker Space-Incubator-Accelerator" has been formed. The employee science and technology innovation achievement transfer platform independently developed by the trade union has included 5,083 employee innovation projects, and the "three innovation think tank" composed of 109 vocational innovation experts and 102 technical managers has provided intellectual property consulting services for 1,388 award-winning projects of the "five small" innovation competitions for employees in the province, and promoted the listing and trading of 750 outstanding intellectual property rights of employees, of which 6 employee innovation achievements have completed a total transaction of 231.5 billion yuan.

In Quanzhou, relying on the innovation studio of model workers and craftsmen, the skills training base for industrial workers, and the craftsman college, the ability to leap from the "single innovation" of employees to the "alliance innovation" of the staff team has been realized. In Longyan, the trade union, together with human resources and social security, science and technology, industry and information technology and other departments, jointly built an expert database for the selection of "five small" innovation projects for employees, and formed a "five small" innovation project service chain integrating "project guidance, recommendation and review". Longyan trade union also strives to promote the "five small" innovation activities and enterprise trade union performance appraisal, enterprise honor recommendation and selection directly linked, "five small" innovation achievements and employee title evaluation, evaluation and promotion, the encouragement mechanism of mutual linkage, the formation of enterprises and employees two-way growth of the "five small" innovation work pattern.

It is reported that in the past 8 years, the Fujian Provincial "Five Small" Innovation Competition has attracted a total of 15.2 million employees with more than 70,000 inventions to participate in the competition, covering dozens of industrial systems such as machinery manufacturing, information industry, energy and raw materials, high-tech, light industry and tobacco, agriculture, forestry and water conservancy.
