Digital culture enables researchers and scholars to remotely access information about cultural relics through the Internet without having to physically visit a museum or site, facilitating cultural heritage research and academic exchanges. Digital sensors can be used to monitor the environmental conditions of cultural relics, including temperature, humidity, etc., as well as detect potential damage factors to help take timely conservation measures. Through digital technology, the original appearance, historical information and cultural background of cultural relics can be better preserved and inherited, which is conducive to the protection of cultural heritage. Digital technology can be used to digitally reconstruct ancient, dilapidated artifacts in order to better understand their original appearance and history. The digital platform facilitates the sharing and cooperation of international heritage information and supports cross-border research and conservation projects. Using IoT technology, the security status of cultural relics can be tracked in real-time through remote monitoring, reducing the risk of theft and damage.
Digitalization is also widely used in the commercial development and revitalization of cultural relics.
