Is the United States really going to fight a civil war?

Friends who know me well know that I recently returned to China from the United States, and I met a few friends who told me, "You are fortunate to have come back, and if you come back a few days later, the United States will have a civil war."

When I was in the United States last year, I was just in time for the train pulling chemical raw materials in Ohio to overturn, and a friend told me at that time that this was the American version of the Chernobyl nuclear accident, which was the largest safety accident in the world.

According to them, half of Americans have to die, and the remaining half has to be disabled, infertile or something.

But more than a year later, I think Americans are still alive and kicking.

So the question arises, what is the recent "civil war" in the United States? Can you fight it?

The "American Civil War" that some people are hyping up at the moment is actually a debate between Texas and the U.S. federal ** over how to interpret the Constitution.

Those who are familiar with the United States know that the United States is a federal country, and the federal state of the United States and each state have their own constitutions, and the leaders are also elected separately, therefore, in principle, the United States does not have the power to directly appoint and remove the governors of the American states.

According to the provisions of the U.S. Constitution, the federal government and the states have their own powers, and in daily life, everyone can perform their own duties.

To give a simple example, each state in the United States has its own police, and the counties and cities below the state also have their own police, and they are in charge of all kinds of daily security and criminal cases. But the federal government has the FBI, that is, the FBI, and if you encounter something related to ***, or a major case, then you have to go to the FBI.

Recently, some self-said so-called Texas is going to fight a civil war with the United States, mainly because of illegal immigration.

First of all, I want to say that the United States is originally an emigrant, so the laws of the United States are relatively tolerant of immigration as a whole. Although the U.S. visa is not very easy to get, as long as you can find a way to enter the U.S., as long as you are patient, then it is a matter of time before you get the status of the United States.

Moreover, the so-called "illegal immigrant" in the United States refers to the illegal entry into the country, not a legal visa issued by the United States Immigration Service, but as long as you enter the United States, then you enjoy most of the benefits that ordinary Americans can enjoy in addition to the right to vote, such as children who do not spend money to go to school, and can apply for subsistence allowance.

In addition, the United States is the most developed country in the world, and the level of education is also high. As a result, the United States has long been a very popular destination for immigrants, especially those who "entered illegally".

And one of the main passages for these people to enter the United States is Texas.

If you look at the map, you can see that Texas and Mexico have a long border, so many Mexicans, including people from all over the world, who can't get a U.S. visa and want to enter the U.S. will enter the U.S. through here.

Now, someone has also invented a term for this behavior, called "line walking".

In recent years, the number of immigrants entering illegally from Texas can be said to be increasing, and since the beginning of this year, it has reached the level of 6,000 people a day.

But with more and more people coming to the "line", Texas ** is a little unbearable, after all, so many people enter Texas, they have to arrange food and accommodation, and then adults go to work, children go to school, etc., doing these things requires a lot of money and manpower.

So, Texas Governor Abbott proposed with Biden in the United States, can we strengthen the management of the border, so that people who come by the line don't enter the United States so easily, after all, this is also a border, it is like visiting a park, you can come casually, isn't it too serious.

On the one hand, the war in Ukraine has been fought for two years and has not ended, on the other hand, Israel and Hamas are fighting happily, and the Houthis in Yemen are in the Red Sea.

In addition, next year is going to be ** again, and the comeback Trump is violent, therefore, in Biden's view, the matter of "walking the line" is not so urgent, so he did not deal much with the governor of Texas.

But the governor of Texas saw that thousands of people were entering the country through his door every day, and no matter what he wanted, there would not be enough beds in the guest house, and the money for the buffet was almost gone, so he decided to find a way to deal with it himself.

But the United States is a country with a legal system, especially in this area, you have to see what the relevant regulations say when you do anything, otherwise it is easy to be sued by some people.

As a result, the governor of Texas came to the constitution to take a look, and the constitution was vague about border management, and the federal government could manage it, and the state could also manage it, but it was not clear who was in charge.

But seeing that more and more people are coming in to "walk the line", and it will exceed 10,000 every day, the governor of Texas decided to put up barbed wire on the border first, and then talk about it.

Who knows, as soon as the barbed wire fence was pulled, the US federal border enforcement team came, and they informed the Texas authorities that they could not build the barbed wire fence without federal permission.

So the two sides argued, and the governor of Texas, in a fit of rage, issued an order prohibiting federal border enforcement from entering Texas.

Seeing that some people may want to say, this Texas governor is too bold, this is a blatant confrontation! In fact, as we said earlier, the governor of Texas is elected by the people of Texas, not appointed by the United States, so Biden really has nothing to do with him.

What should Biden do at this time? He had no choice but to go to the U.S. Supreme Court to sue the governor of Texas.

So, on this matter, the Supreme Court called both the governor of Texas and Biden, and said you two should stop arguing, and I made a judgment that Texas does not have the power to expel federal law enforcement, and federal law enforcement must have access to Texas.

However, the Supreme Court did not say whether Texas could pull the barbed wire on its own.

After all, the Supreme Court thinks that we are in charge of major matters, and it is okay to explain and interpret the constitution or something, and if we pull up a matter of breaking the barbed wire, don't bother me, you can discuss it yourself.

As soon as the federal law enforcement team saw that since we could still enter Texas to enforce the law, we had to tear down the barbed wire fence that the Texans had erected themselves, so the two sides quarreled again.

In this case, the governor of Texas declared a state of emergency in Texas in a fit of rage! Get ready to go with Federal Border Enforcement!

As a result, some people say that this is that Texas is going to fight a civil war with the Union, and there are 25 other states in the United States that also support Texas and want to fight the Federation.

However, as we said earlier, Biden has been very busy recently, and he may be older, in his eighties, so his memory is not very good. This matter was already quite tense, but Biden seemed to have forgotten it, and it had been several days since the governor of Texas declared a state of emergency, but there was no movement at all.

In fact, the essence of this matter is that there is a disagreement between the federal and state of the United States on the issue of border management, the federal believes that the border affairs belong to the category of diplomacy, and your state has no right to manage it, but the state believes that too many undocumented immigrants have entered the country, which has affected our normal life, and we must do something!

The Supreme Court believes that in this matter, the opinion of the federal government should still prevail, but the state is obviously a little unconvinced, in fact, it is a little bit of a matter.

As you know, it is normal for Americans to have different views on the same thing, and as a federal country, it is even more common for the states and the federation to have some arguments about the law, but this point, as a person with a deep-rooted idea of unification, is often difficult to understand, so as soon as the state declares a state of emergency, it is said that there is a civil war in the United States.

In fact, if this is a civil war, then the American civil war will now have to be fought more than 100 times.

Therefore, although there has been a conflict between the U.S. federal ** and Texas on the matter of alignment recently, there is no evidence that "the U.S. military and the Texas National Guard are going to war", let alone "25 states send the National Guard to support".

As for the pictures of some military vehicles being transported to Texas on the Internet, it is actually Kansas in the United States that transported combat vehicles to Fort Blis, the largest military training base of the US military in Texas, during the "Operation Spartan Shield".

And this action has nothing to do with the contradiction between Texas and the Federation.

After all, in the history of the United States, except for the civil war fought because of the emancipation of black slaves, the contradictions in American society in the subsequent political movements such as the Progressive Movement and the Civil Rights Movement were a hundred times more serious than the current "line walking" matter.

Just like the train derailment in Ohio last year, no one mentions it anymore, and the heat of Texas' civil war with the U.S. federal ** will soon pass.
