Travel China Gushan Temple Chronicles

All along, my fascination with Jingjiang Gushan Temple is like a surging river. Finally, on a sunny day, I embarked on this journey to find the best of the best.

Gushan Temple, located on the top of Gushan Mountain in the northeast of Jingjiang City, is one of the famous ancient temples in the south of the Yangtze River in China. The buildings in the temple are simple and elegant, shaded by green trees, and fragrant with birds and flowers, giving people a feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle and returning to nature. It is said that the incense of Gushan Temple is very vigorous, especially during the festival, good men and women come to burn incense and worship the Buddha to seek peace and auspiciousness.

Early in the morning, a few friends and I drove to Jingjiang. The scenery along the way is breathtaking, and it is refreshing. After arriving at Gushan Temple, we were first attracted by the majestic mountain gate. The mountain gate is engraved with the three big characters of "Gushan Temple", the pen is strong, and the momentum is extraordinary. Walking into the mountain gate, the Buddha statues are solemn and sacred, as if telling us the story of thousands of years.

We walked all the way along the central axis and came to the Daxiong Treasure Hall. The hall is dedicated to the three Buddhas, and the eighteen Arhats are flanked by them. I was so immersed in the atmosphere of devotional that I couldn't help but fold my hands and close my eyes in prayer. The partners also worshipped the Buddha and asked for signatures, hoping to be blessed by God.

Walking through the courtyard of Gushan Temple, I found that each landscape here has a unique charm. For example, the Guanyin Pavilion, located behind the Daxiong Treasure Hall, is an excellent place to enjoy the scenery. We overlook the whole temple from the Guanyin Pavilion, only to see that the temple is scattered, and the green trees are shaded, giving people a sense of tranquility and far-reaching.

In addition, we also visited the buildings of Gushan Temple, such as the Tibetan Scripture Tower, the Bell and Drum Tower, and so on. In the Tibetan scripture building, we witnessed many precious Buddha objects and felt the profound cultural heritage of the Chinese nation. The Bell and Drum Tower allows us to appreciate the majesty of the ancient buildings, as if we can hear the melodious sound of bells and drum towers echoing in our ears.

As the sun set, we reluctantly left the Lonely Mountain Temple. This trip made me feel the breadth and profundity of Buddhist culture, and also made me have a strong interest in the ancient architectural art of our country. I believe that in the days to come, the beautiful scenery and rich culture of Gushan Temple will definitely become an eternal memory in my heart.
