For example, the wedge-shaped steel plate of the bridge bearing needs to meet the requirements of strength, hardness and ductility to ensure the safety of the construction and use of the bridge. The requirements for ordinary steel plates are relatively low, and more are the requirements for surface flatness and other aspects.
Third, the standards are different.
The standards for steel plates are also different for different purposes. The standards for bridge wedge-shaped steel plates mainly include national standards and industry standards. In China, there are mainly standards such as "Steel Product Varieties, Marking and Representation" (GB T 221-2008) and "Steel Calibration Specification" (GB T 2101-2008). The standard of ordinary steel plate is more based on GB T 700.
