Xinmin Evening News (Reporter Ye Wei) The Singapore Airshow kicked off today at the Changi Convention and Exhibition Center, with two C919 aircraft and three ARJ21 aircraft making their debut, and presenting the phased results of China's commercial aircraft development to the public through a variety of methods such as model exhibitions in the museum, outdoor static displays and flight performances.

In the exhibition hall, COMAC's booth with the theme of "Hand in Hand for a Better Future" exhibited the latest painted 1:20 scale C919, ARJ21 and C929 basic aircraft models, as well as 1:32 scale ARJ21 business jets, medical aircraft, emergency rescue command aircraft, fire extinguishers, cargo aircraft, C919 shortened high prototype and extended aircraft models. In the outdoor static exhibition area, the C919 passenger aircraft of China Eastern Airlines, the ARJ21 passenger aircraft of Indonesia Lingya Airlines and the ARJ21 freighter aircraft of Zhongyuan Longhao Airlines gathered to accept enterprises and the public from all over the world to board and visit. During the air show, C919 aircraft and ARJ21 aircraft will perform flight demonstrations, and COMAC will also carry out special promotion activities to strengthen negotiations and exchanges with customers and partners.

With a capacity of 158-192 passengers and a range of 4,075-5,555 kilometers, the C919 adopts advanced aerodynamic design, propulsion systems and materials to achieve lower carbon emissions and higher fuel efficiency. The advanced cockpit design can effectively reduce the pilot's workload, and the user-friendly cabin design can provide a comfortable riding environment for passengers. On May 28, 2023, the C919 aircraft successfully completed its first commercial flight, and so far 4 aircraft have been delivered, safely transporting more than 110,000 passengers.

The ARJ21 regional airliner carries 78-97 passengers and has a range of 2225-3700 kilometers, with good high-temperature plateau airport take-off and landing performance and crosswind resistance. Since it was put into commercial operation in June 2016, a total of 127 aircraft have been delivered, safely transporting more than 11 million passengers. Among them, two ARJ21 aircraft operated by Indonesia's Lingya Airlines have opened 4 routes based in Jakarta, connecting 5 cities and safely carrying more than 100,000 passengers. At present, the relevant work of ARJ21 business aircraft, medical aircraft, emergency rescue command aircraft, fire extinguishers and other derivative models is being carried out in an orderly manner, and the first batch of 2 passenger-to-freighter aircraft has been delivered to customers.

In addition, on the opening day of the Singapore Air Show, ** Airlines and COMAC signed orders for 40 C919 and 10 ARJ21 aircraft. CAIC and COMAC signed an order for six ARJ21 derivatives, including ARJ21 fire extinguishers, ARJ21 medical aircraft and ARJ21 emergency rescue command aircraft.

The C919 prototype is one of the important models of the C919 aircraft serialization development, which meets the transportation requirements of the plateau area by shortening the fuselage and implementing plateau modification on the basis of the C919 basic model. The number of seats is 140-160, and the take-off and landing performance meets all plateau airports in China. With a maximum take-off and landing altitude of 14,500 feet, the ARJ21 has good take-off and landing performance and crosswind resistance at plateau airports, and can cover most plateau airports in China. The ARJ21 fire extinguisher can quickly respond to fire, accurately locate fire areas, and efficiently extinguish fires, taking into account daily aerial monitoring and early warning, as well as commuting. The ARJ21 medical aircraft is equipped with functions such as aeromedical rescue and medical transport, and can be used for patient transport, infectious disease transport and critical first aid. The ARJ21 emergency rescue command aircraft can realize situational awareness, command decision-making, dispatching and disposal of disaster situations, and can be used for airspace command, emergency rescue command and rescue force transportation, and the establishment of temporary communication networks in disaster areas.
